Fergus is a 2022 colt by Finnigan out of dam sire Lupicor. At his Oldenburg inspection Fergus was awarded premium being described as long legged, nice type and correct mover with good push. Fergus is very personable and friendly. He has been correctly handled, with feet done regularly. He is UTD with worming, vaccinations and microchip.
Sire Finnigan fascinated the crowd at his Verden licensing with his outstanding gaits! He then went on to win his 2016 14 day test with the high score of 8.96 for dressage, and a respectable 7.23 for showjumping, total 8.35.some highlights include 10,0 character/temperament, 9.5 for rideability, 9.25 outside rider, 9.0 for his trot, 9.0 walk, 8.5 canter.
In 2019 Finnigan was awarded the Weltmeyer Prize as one of Hanover’s best young dressage stallions!! Finnigan is a tall leggy correct stallion with beautiful type, combined with 3 excellent elastic gaits, he also clearly shows a high level of rideablity and an excellent work ethic. All qualities highly sought after by breeders.
Fergus dam sire is Lupicor, Lupicor, was one of the highest ranked stallions in both the German and Dutch breeding indexes was successfully competing with European champion Marco Kutscher. His sire, Lux participated in the Sydney Olympics and won the Pulsar Crown competitions of both Valkenswaard and Cannes. Lupicor is bred out of the ‘keur’ awarded Jourdette S, a daughter of the Westphalian stallion Pilot. Jourdette S made a worthy career for herself in showjumping, competing at national and international levels.
Fergus' dam Leda competed locally with an amateur dressage rider in both hunter/jumper and later dressage. She successfully competed up to medium levels, achieving 4th level senior champion Dressage BC in 2018.
