Sire: VDL Zirocco Blue (Mr. Blue x Voltaire), Photo #1, 16.2 h KWPN Stallion
Zirocco Blue is a young, modern stallion and seems to be an extra talented jumping horse. He has scope, technique, and is careful. In the results of Holland's 2009 Young Foal Championships he had the best filly, Erelena, #5 filly Epyrusa, and the #7 colt Everest. Zirocco Blue is one of the few approved sons and the only KWPN approved son of Mr. Blue. Mr. Blue is a world famous stallion and was successful at the highest levels of sport and breeding. He had numerous Grand Prix and World Cup wins. Grandsire Voltaire, a "Preferent" stallion jumped at international level and leads many lines of sporthorses. Dam, Licorne des Forets jumps at the international 1.50 M level, granddam jumps at the 1.40 level and was the most winning 6 yr old horse of France. Great granddam Rapsodie II also jumped at 1.40 m level.

Martinais is a stunning, imported KWPN mare that was shown through Grand Prix level jumping before an injury sidelined her career. As a result of her exemplary performance record she has been awarded the KWPN Sport Predicate. Perfectly proportioned with ideal conformation, she has a huge stride and was a powerhouse, fearless jumper. Guidam (photo #3), her sire has been ranked as #1 in the KWPN breeding index, #1 in USEF Jumper Sires Rankings and as one of the Top Ten Stallions in the world before his untimely death. He is sire to "Authentic" 2004 USA Horse of the Year and 2004 Olympic Gold Medalist, "Luidam" 2004 Nations Cup winner, and over 35 Grand Prix and International Showjumpers. His sire, Quidam de Revel won Team Bronze and individual Fourth Place at the Barcelona Olympics with Herve Godignon (who now competes with Guidam’s daughter Liona). Martinais' dam was a Star KWPN mare decending from the sire Dammen (Alme x Twiggy). Alme influenced showjumping bloodlines all over the world and Twiggy was an anchor in very many good jumping horses and is a legend in breeding.

The KWPN is one of the largest Warmblood studbooks in the world. For 2009 – for an unprecedented sixth year in a row – the KWPN once again took the leading position for jumpers in the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horse (WBFSH) rankings and again took the second spot in dressage.
