Ben truly is a gentle giant and at 16.3 he is a solid citizen! A complete teddy bear, Ben has impeccable ground manners and no issues with loading, tying, farrier or vet and no show nerves. He has had one owner since purchased from the breeder at 5-years-old. He has been schooled extensively cross country through Preliminary level, show jumped regularly to 3'6"-4' and is solid 2nd level dressage. He also readily goes out on trail rides/hacks alone or in company. He has been ridden with multiple clinicians: Buck Davidson, Boyd Martin, Jim Graham, Joan Bolton, Alfredo Hernandez. He has had regular dressage and jump lessons along with many cross country outings.
Ben has been competed at Training and First level USDF, Novice and Training Level USEA along with multiple schooling dressage, event and derby outings.
Ben could easily be a 2nd-3rd level dressage horse, low-level eventer or fox hunter, but he is just too laid back for upper level eventing, hence the reason for his sale.
