“Flint” is a beautiful bay KWPN gelding by United x Jazz. He is 14 years old and stands at 16.2 hands. Flint has an extensive successful show record at the small tour level (PSG/I1). He would be suitable for a competent amateur but would be absolutely super for a junior rider looking to do the FEI Junior and Young Rider divisions and be competitive. He is uncomplicated in the sense that he is the same in a snaffle or double, on or off property, good to clip, groom, bathe, etc. He is very sweet and always wishes to please his people. He can at times become a little bit insecure under saddle, but he is never “naughty” and has not done anything more than a jump sideways or hollowing his body away from something. However, because he has in the past shown this type of insecurity, we just wouldn’t be comfortable placing him with someone not very confident.

Flint is a super and rare opportunity for someone to have a nice small tour schoolmaster with lovely movement on a budget. The only reason Flint is offered in a lower price range is because his owner has health issues that have prevented her from being able to ride and devote time to him. Because of this, Flint has been out of full work for quite some time. He was last shown in September of 2022 and last in full training through January of 2023. He has been living at home with his owner and only ridden a few times since. Hence, he is out of shape and needs someone to condition him back into full work before he can compete again. He is not for sale due to fault of his own.

Flint has no known soundness issues, only wears front shoes at the moment and simply just needs someone to take the time to bring back his strength and stamina in order for him to go back to competing. His body is in super condition for having so much time off, and shouldn’t take long to bring him back into full work.

The first video of Flint shows him with his adult amateur owner in their PSG class back in September of 2022, when he was actively working and competing. The second video is a recent video of him schooling some of the movements after having time off.
