"Chappie" is a really neat guy. He has tons of personality.

Young Horse /show Series qualifier & Championships were near my house November so I plucked him out of the field with no prep at all.

He loaded in the dark in the rain, shipped like a champ, unloaded like it was old hat & settled in famously.
He qualified with very nice comments from the judge about his athletic ability. At Championship finals He had fantastic scores including 19's (of a possible 20), placing 5th with judge comments all being positive and stating they wished he had showed better! Scores were very close, the winner was 18.97, and his score was 18.09!!
All judges commented on his athletic ability & outstanding conformation.

Chappie is outgoing, brave & inquisitive. He has been since birth.
As you can see in the barn videos he is chosing to jump on his own. They had jump shoot training at the YHS Championships & I entered him to see what he would do. As you see in the videos, he was very interested & handled that like a champ as well.

He is sired by Son of a Gun, a Canadian Hanoverian by the well known hunter sire Samuel (died 2009), had shown successfully in the hunters at WEF, Fl., Manitoba Royal Winter Fair & the Ontario A circuit. He was well known for his gentle, easy-going and loveable disposition, his beauty and elegance.
His sires Dam Sire Dol Savirt was also known for his extraordinary work ethic, as well as for passing on to open minded personality & gentle demeanor.

His dam is the Holsteiner mare Willow MCF by Ariadus out of a Lennon (Lord) mare.
Willow got 8's free jumping technique, scope and willingness when she was 2 years old.
Ariadus really needs no introduction.He is BY FAR my favorite bloodline of all.
Ariadus by Accord II (Ahorn) out of a Latus II (Landgraf)/Laertes mare. Ariadus’ granddam is the dam of CAPITOL, legendary sire from Holstein. Ariadus was 4th at the 1995 stallion approvals in Neumunster. He is a Premium rated stallion with 54 bonits.
Ariadus’ sire, Accord II is widely regarded as an important contributor in Europe. He was the leading sire for mares bred in Germany after winning many important shows and the 100 Day Test. It is important to consider Ariadus’s granddam Folia. This outstanding and famous mare produced five stallion sons, including the foundation sire Capitol I. Corrado is a Capitol I grandson. Ariadus’ “alternative” bloodines to Cor de la Bryere and Landgraf are much needed here in the U.S.
Willows dam is by Lennon who is by legendary holsteiner stallion Lord who won the 1969 Holsteiner stallion approval, sired more than 60 stallion sons, and his progeny won more than €3,000.000.
Granddam Dahlia was by Calvadur who is by Calypso I.
Great Granddam Wonne XII was by famous Landgraf who is the sire of five stallions out of the top 75, with two in the top ten and his progeny have won over €4.5 million.

Chappie Clips, loads, leads, ties, bathes & loves to be groomed, handled & get attention. He is a clown.
He is great for the farrier & for the vet- shots not a problem. He likes his ears scratched.
He can be in or out alone or with others. He is very clean in his stall.

He is very athletic & loves to play hard.
This is a seriously hard core jumper/Dressage/ event prospect-he is incredibly athletic, is an elastic uphill mover with wonderful suspension and impulsion and very brave.

being sold because he is a gelding, plus I have had several hand surgeries and really need to cut my numbers back anyway (hence why 3 of my youngsters are listed). If this were a filly no way would I sell him. He is truly outstanding & only lacks show career due to my medical issues.
