16.1 Hands. Black/Brown
With an extensive show record as a Hunter Over Fences, Under Saddle and Equitation on the Flat, Cooper’s mature owner transitioned him to Dressage in December 2019. Just one month later, Cooper scored a 70.2% in L1T3 and the following day, earned a 67.9% at L3T1. February 2020 brought a score of 65.6% at L3T3 with the S judge’s comment of an “Elegant, talented horse.”
Cooper has proven his affinity for Dressage and, in just 9 months, in September 2020, earned 65% and 65.6% at L4T1. Schooling PSG, the 3 and 2 tempis are quite easy, given Cooper’s history as a Performance Hunter, suppleness and being light footed. This is a tribute to the soundness and willingness of the horse as well as the skills and talent of his trainer who is shown in the videos.
A very mellow fellow at home, in the show arena as well as on a trail ride, Cooper is an easy horse to ride and train. He is non-spooky, no matter where he is and is the exact type of horse that a timid junior or adult amateur would enjoy at home and in competition without the necessity of being in a full training program. Having comfortable gaits with a very steady rhythm, Cooper happily performs in a snaffle or a double bridle.
Cooper does receive periodic maintenance - chiropractic, acupuncture, hock injections. He has been lovingly cared for by his owner for the past 4 years, who rides him four times a week. Cooper is schooled by our trainer once or twice a week.
