What’s so wonderful about Franconia? She is an FEI candidate suitable for Juniors, Adult Amateurs, or Professionals! She is soooooo comfortable in her supple, expressive, powerful gaits that are as steady as a metronome. Franconia is excellent in her connection to the bridle taking just the right amount of contact without being heavy. She is a very supple and athletic horse that has an easy time using her body effectively in Half-Pass, Shoulder-In and Haunches-In. She has the looks of a strong, beautiful lady, but has the ground manners of a perfect gentleman; bathing, clipping, standing for the farrier, standing to be braided and loading into a trailer. She is super-affectionate and loves to be involved with what you are doing while still being respectful of your space. She connects with her rider and nickers when she hears her trainer-agent’s car drive up, and gives kisses at every opportunity! She is relaxed and supple in her work, with those loveable floppy ears!
Franconia was imported by a German professional Grand Prix rider who was discriminating in choosing her next horse to train up to Grand Prix in the US. Franconia’s willing attitude and exceptional movement started her show career ranking with the top FEI 4 year olds, and in the top 15 FEI 5 year olds in the country, qualifying her to compete at Markel’s Young Horse Championships. Unfortunate family circumstances kept Franconia’s owner from being able to attend. Franconia’s owner has made the difficult decision that this special mare will be someone else’s FEI prospect to treasure every day. Franconia was brought to Colorado for USDF Gold Medalist Andrea Doelling to show you just how suitable she is for ANY type of rider from JR’s to ambitious Adult Amateurs to discriminating professionals!
Franconia’s owner found her naturally balanced and her flying changes easy to teach her. Her agent has made the decision to not apply her aides for flying changes while she was just getting started in her relationship with her in Colorado.

This special mare is located at Lost Lake Equestrian Center in Franktown, Colorado, approx. 1 hour South West of Denver International Airport.
If Franconia sounds like the FEI prospect you were looking for from Germany but didn’t want to have to fly there to test ride dozens of horses before you found such a talented, sound, special horse – give Andrea a call ASAP to jump to the front of the line, since you won’t want to compete against her in your region!
