FRANGELICA is in foal to Dauphin for 2019

EM FRANGELICA was the highest scoring mare in United States in the 4 YO & Older Yeld/Maiden Hanoverian Mare Division in 2008 and thus earned the title of US National Champion Hanoverian Mare, she was grand champion mare at the NWSHA Breeder's Classic Show. As a 3yo Materiale Filly, she was #3 in the USA. She is a maternal ½ sister to two time USDF Horse of the Year & AHS National Champion, San Dante. Also maternal ½ sister to AHS National Champion 2 & 3 Year Old Colt, Con Brio HF and AHS Reserve National Champion First Level AA dressage mare, De Soleil. Frangelica's dam line is a breeder's dream as her grandmother is a full blood sister to the dam of the famous Rubinstein son, Rotspon. As a sport horse, Frangelica showed a great ability and talent for dressage, and competed very successfully in eventing, where she was able to show her confidence, bravery, athleticism, and beautiful movement. She has passed along her fabulous personality and movement to her 2015 colt by Bon Balou. Also to her 2017 filly by Jaguar Mail so pretty and athletic.

She is an easy to breed mare, has a fabulous filly by Jaguar Mail in 2017 caught first try with frozen, and in foal first try with frozen For Romance.

Her sire the black 16.3-3/4 hh stallion, was the versatile Frenchman who was runner-up in the stallion performance test in 1999, where he achieved high points in the dressage as well as in the jumping category. Frenchman is bred out of a very consolidated dam line. His granddam Goldlady was a highly decorated broodmare and achieved outstanding results at several national mare shows. He is a big-framed, expressive sire with effective, well-shaped shoulders, back and croup. Highest evaluation of all three basic gaits as well as excellent rideability are strong points. Frenchman has inherited his sire, Falkland's, excellent personality and willingness to perform.

Weltmeyer's Song is a broodmare extraordinaire! ALL FOALS TO DATE ARE USDF HORSE OF THE YEAR AWARD WINNERS AND/OR AHS NATIONAL/RESERVE CHAMPIONS…sired by different stallions! Weltmeyer’s Song is a beautiful daughter of the immortal Weltmeyer and out of Ariane, a full-blood sister to the dam of Rotspon. Extremely modern and elegant in her type, Weltmeyer’s Song was named a states premium candidate (SPA) in Germany after winning her class and a 1A prize at the Hanoverian mare show in Tarmstedt, Germany.

Weltmeyer’s Song was imported to the USA and continued her winning ways in US showrings. She won many championships, include the 2005 Mare Championship at the Northwest Sporthorse Breeders Classic in Washington state under judge Olympic dressage rider Hilda Gurney with a score of 83.3%. Hilda Gurney’s comments included, “..exceptional mare.” Weltmeyer’s Song was awarded a prize and named #4 Hanoverian mare in the USA in 2005 based on her show results at the American Hanoverian Society (AHS) Year End Awards Banquet in Los Angeles, California.

Weltmeyer’s Song was born near Hamburg, Germany on the farm of a family that has been raising Hanoverian horses for over 100 years. Her dam, Ariane, is a daughter of the refining sire, Argentan, and is out of the states premium mare, SPS Pia, an 18h Pik Bube mare with both exceptional dressage gaits and jumping ability. Argentan was Reserve Champion of the 1969 stallion licensing. In 1994, he was crowned “Hanoverian Stallion of the Year” in Germany as a result of his extraordinary success as a sire. Argentan was the sire of 805 competition horses who won over 1,600,000 DM in prize money. His broodmares in particular were highly regarded and included three Champion German Riding Horse mares at the DLG show: Aragonia (1978), Ascona (1980) and Arabella (1984). However he was also the sire of some top performers including Mario Deslaurier’s 1984 World Cup winner, Aramis. He was the sire of 19 stallion sons, including Airport, Al Capone and most famed of all, Argentinus.

The late Werner Schockemoehle, a man regarded in his lifetime as a walking encyclopedia of Warmblood breeding, had this to say about the great stallion: “For twenty years I have judged the foals in the areas to the north, near Varkstead, where Argentan stood. Then he was the most important stallion – for type – in Hannover.”

Weltmeyer, the sire of Weltmeyer’s Song, is the Hanoverian Sire of The Century according to the German Hanoverian Verband. He added the “1998 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year” in Germany to his long list of accomplishments: 1986 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing Champion; 1987 German National Champion Three-Year-Old Riding Horse; 1997 Stallion Performance Test Champion; and 1989 DLG Champion. In 2003, Weltmeyer was the USA Equestrian’s Leading Dressage Sire.

Weltmeyer has 70+ licensed sons and over 250 of his daughters have achieved the coveted “States Premium Mare” title in Germany. Weltmeyer is famous as a sire of champions: seven German National Champion Riding Horses (Wittinger, Weltburger, Wolkenstein II, Wolkentanz, White Star, Wildrose, and Welt Hit IV); 2001 5-year old Bundeschampionate Dressage Champion Wanesco; two Hanoverian Stallion Licensing Champions (Wittinger and Wolkentanz), two Stallion Performance Test Champions (Wittinger and Wolkenstein II), and in 2001, the National Champion German Driving Horse, Gestut Quellensee Westminister!

His first Olympic competitor, Rosemount Wall Street, competed for Australia in Sydney. His son, Weltall, competed for Germany, winning the team Gold Medal in Dressage in the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Emma Hindle of Great Britain rode another successful FEI Weltmeyer son, Wie Weltmeyer, to top placings at the Athens Olympics. Ellen Schulten Baumer became European Junior Rider Champion with the Weltmeyer x Marbod mare, Weserperle S. Weltmeyer has gained an international reputation as a sire of successful broodmares as well. The following successful horses are all out of daughters of Weltmeyer: Liberty Gold, Florencio, FS Lord Loxley, Danone, Curator, De Janeiro and Don Cavallo, and well as four new upcoming “stars” standing at stud at the Hanoverian State Stud, Landgestut Celle in Germany: Ballettmeister, Locksley, Locksley II and Montesquie.

We are hearing so much about how important dam lines are... pretty tough to beat this one.

In foal to ES Dauphin for 2019. Dauphin is a typey son of the legendary Donnerhall from an outstanding damline developed at Groenwohldhof where his sire stood for breeding.

Marefield Meadows, his breeder, was fortunate when Dauphin was invited to join 49 other colts in the 11-Month Stallion Performance Test at Adelheidsdorf. He was the only privately-owned stallion of the group.

The German breeders who followed his progression were favorably impressed with Dauphin’s swinging back and happy attitude, saying, “For him it’s like play; the riding is a game to him.” He was also praised for his kind nature and good manners. Dauphin finished the test in fourth place and was invited to remain at Celle on breeding lease.

Dauphin has been an outstanding producer of character, rideability, willingness, correctness and movement. He passes his exemplary conformation, type, and wonderful disposition onto his offspring. He tends to be a refiner and produces rideable dressage horses in the 16-16.2hh range.

He has produced 489 German Hanoverian offspring as of the 2015 publishing of the Hanoveranner Hengst Book. Of the 102 mares that are in breeding, 28 of them were awarded the coveted States Premium Title. His two approved Hanoverian sons, Dallmeyer and Don Presidente are continuing to carry on this line.

Dauphin is on the Top List of the Hanoverian breed for type with an outstanding score of 132, and a 143 for limbs! He is black but can produce chestnuts

Frangelica will not able to leave until her foal is weaned next fall.
