Franzisko is a lovely 2020 16.2hh dappled bay flashy Hanoverian gelding with 4 white socks, a star and snip. His sire Franziskus by Fidertanz is an International Grand Prix star and has been a staple of the German Dressage Team with Ingrid Klimke. His dam by Contendro I has produced many successful dressage horses and she stamps her offspring with good gaits and good brains. He is going nicely under saddle, hacks outside and is kind and easy already so suitable for an AdAm rider despite his young age.

Franzisko has been professionally raised since birth. He handles obstacle courses, tarps, umbrellas, kiddy pools, pool noodles etc with ease. He was professionally started slowly into work this winter and has blossomed in his under saddle work. He is not spooky, he does not require lunging before each ride, he can be hacked alone outside and school in a large outdoor ring without a fence. He takes different riders without stress, remaining calm and willing. He cross ties, stall ties, clips, baths, stands quietly for the farrier, loads easily on a trailer. He recently had his teeth power floated and is up to date on his deworming and vaccines. He is a healthy, sound boy with a full set of baseline leg xrays on file (only finding was one smaller pastern chip that two surgeons have commented on and have deemed it can be left in). He has clean legs and great quality unshod feet. He is a full day calm turnout horse alone or in a smaller same sex group. He is an ideal horse for a professional wanting a willing talented partner or an AdAm wanting a kind, calm horse of quality to develop with.

Franzisko’s sire Franziskus (Fidertanz x Alabaster) started his winning career off by being Champion of the Westphalian licensing as a two year old colt. He followed that up by being crowned Federal Champion (Bundeschampion) of the 4 year old stallions of Germany with a near perfect score under saddle two years later. He also won the 30 Day Münster-Handorf Stallion Performance test with an outstanding dressage score of 8.40 and has continued onwards in his training to his debut at International Grand Prix in 2017. For the last 7 years Franziskus has remained physically sound and very competitive at the top of world standing of Grand Prix sport under Ingrid Klimke. It is rare for any horse to remain competitive for so long but for him to do it while mentally balancing a busy breeding career is even more impressive. He is known to stamp is offspring with his stunning looks, uphill frame, modern long-legged type and exemplary brain. Franzisko is a lovely representation of his famous German father right here in NA.

Franzisko’s dam Contessa (Contendro I x Eiger I) has brought forth an impressive list of offspring for her breeder Sunnydays Hanoverians. Her daughter Royal Gala by Romanov has competed to 4th Level and was schooled to Advanced Level, Slainte by Sezuan is competing at 3rd Level and currently schooling PSG, four offspring sired by Sir Donnerhall I were stunning young dressage horses showing great promise under saddle, and her son Formula One by For Romance I was developed as a Hunter finishing up as Year End Champions in both the USHJA 2′ and USHJA 2’3″ divisions. Contessa’s sire Contendro I can be found in the pedigrees of top sport horses in all FEI disciplines; dressage, eventing and show jumping. He is known for his powerful hindleg and multi-talented offspring. He has offspring competing at the highest levels in the three major disciplines. In addition to his status as being the leading sire of event horses, he has sired multiple Grand Prix jumpers and Grand Prix dressage horses. Contessa’s dam was in imported German States Premium Hanoverian mare Ester (Eiger I x Wenzel) who’s offspring were talented and rideable.

He is located one hour from Toronto Pearson International Airport. Export to the US on an air ride trailer is easily arranged with a current negative Coggins test and a Health Certificate done by a local vet.
