With Both Olympic Ferro and Fuerst Romancier in the pedigree she has not disappointed us. Fabulous movement, correct and an incredible mind. She is very tall and elegant. She is easy to trim her feet and lead and load. Loves being groomed. She will be a tall girl. Mom is 16.3 and so, I believe, was her sire. Freya is currently over 16.2. No current photos between rain and personal choas so price is drastically reduced.
First photo is of Freya as a yearling, Second is S.H. Romance (dam) The other is Olympic Ferro.
Sire - Olympic Ferro, the Dutch sensation, won team silver at the 1998 World Equestrian Games, 1999 European Championships and 2000 Olympic Games under Copy van Baalen of the Netherlands. This pair's greatest achievement came when they placed second in the World Cup Finals in 's Hertogenbosch scoring over 80% for their freestyle.
As a three-year-old, he was champion of his performance test at Ermelo, where he achieved the outstanding results of 6.5--walk, 8.5--trot and 8.5 canter. He was later given the Keur and the rare Preferent titles by the KWPN breeding committee.
His sire Ulft, a son of the great Le Mexico, produced many licensed sons and several international dressage horses. Le Mexico carries Furioso xx blood, which brings value to any pedigree. Ferro's dam, Brenda, is a daughter of the Holsteiner, Farn, who is legendary in jumper breeding. Farn's son Nimmerdor, is one of the most well-known Dutch sport horse sires having been named the KWPN Stallion of the Century.
Olympic Ferro is the grand sire of the outstanding stallion Uthopia (Metall) who achieved team gold at both the 2010 European Championships and 2012 London Olympic Games. Ferro also sired Rousseau, the champion of the three-year-old stallions at s'Hertogenbosch in 2000, as well as the stallions Negro, Mettal, and Rhodium. The champion three year old mare at Ermelo in 2000 was an Olympic Ferro daughter.
Much was expected of this charming, talented black stallion, and he has not disappointed. He sadly passed away in 2005 unexpectedly, but his semen has still been in demand. He can be relied upon to produce beautiful, typy, talented offspring of the highest quality. Fantastic toplines and an elegant look characterize his get. In addition to their dressage excellence, Olympic Ferro's offspring also make good jumpers. Olympic Ferro is #1 on the BN World Stallion Rankings for dressage and is the top stallion and pride of the Netherlands, affectionately known as the "Black Pearl."
Dam S.H. Romance is a lovely mare that received nice comments from the Oldenburg inpsection. "This is a really nice mare that you can get when you cross a warmblood with an arabian. She is medium framed, leggier type, not super leggy but legs are dominant, nice gender expression, nice face, the eye is clear, head neck connection, I would like to see a bit lighter, but it is still fine, The neck is well arched, a little short. The shoulder is long enough but I would like to see a little bit more angulation. The wither/saddle position is ok. The loin part I would like to see a little bit longer, that there is more space for swing and impulsion. The croup is also a little bit short, the set of the tail is a little high, and the croup is a little bit angular, so this could be a little bit better but in total I think this is a nice mare, especially when she starts moving she has impulsion, carrying power, and active hind leg, there is not at so much arabian movement, which is very good. I think here we have a very interesting mare, She is entered into the main stud book with a 7.5 total. I think that you have a really nice mare, and I think that it is really good to have her, to go on with the dressage breeding."
