Recently started under saddle, Areion has been a dream to train. Currently in tact, but planning to geld after fly season this year. Areion has a disposition people dream of. He is warm hearted, kind, and willing. Even as a stallion he is tacked and bathed next to mares and just stands like a good boy. Areion has NEVER been bred or used to tease. He is my personal horse and I have owned him since he was 9 mos old. we have done EXTENSIVE ground work over the last year, and it shows by his "nothing phases me" attitude. He was started the right way with first teaching him to be responsive to my queues on the ground, teaching him to work from behind and come underneath himself at the working trot on the flat and over ground poles. 100 percent balance under tack at the working trot was achieved before ever mounting. Areion has been taught to "sidle up" to the mounting block for easy mounting. regardless of where he is parked at the mounting block, you can kiss and wave your crop and he will swing his body over to you so you can get on and he stands quietly and patiently while you mount. Does not walk off until you ask him to.He gets better and better with every ride. Areion has an obvious willingness to please and seems to enjoy having a job to do. At 2 1/2 Areion is 16hh. His dam was 18.3hh and sire was 17hh so he will be nice and tall with lovely elastic movement making him a wonderful dressage prospect. Please contact me if you have any other questions.
