Nicknamed "the perfect child", Alax has been the easiest foal and youngster we have ever had. She is always willing and trusting, as well as sweet as can be.
She is a strikingly gorgeous mare with a strong loin and hip, long legs with good bone, and beautiful topline. Her movement is uphill and powerful, with a good amount of suspension in the trot. Will make a lovely amateur or youth mount for either the dressage or hunter ring with more training. She was started to saddle this spring and is showing loads of potential, but is still very green.
She has the potential to be a valuable dressage broodmare bringing a strong G-line foundation to compliment well with the popular modern stallions of today. One of the last daughters of Glorioso Noir, this filly is impeccably well bred on both the top and bottom of her pedigree which brings valuable G-line blood close up through her sire Glorioso Noir whose pedigree goes back to Goldfisch II seven times, and includes famous ancestors such as Grosse Liebe, Grundstein I, Goldstern, Gotthard, Grande, and Graphit. Her dam also brings in notable bloodlines such as Rubinstein I, Wenzel I, Ramiro Z, Bolero, and Argentinus. She gave a stellar dressage colt in 2023 by Vilancio. She has already been inspected and approved by the Hanoverian, Rhinelander, and Westfalen registries.
Alax's sire, Glorioso Noir, had suspended gaits and excellent conformation that made him equally talented for dressage and jumping. He completed his 100-day stallion testing in Germany and finished in 11th place out of 40 stallions, placing equally well in both dressage and jumping. Among the highlights of his scores were an 8.0 on character, temperament and willingness to work, and constitution. He received an 8.0 on jumping ability and an 8.0 on his trot. Glorioso competed in the young horse dressage classes as well as in the hunters and jumpers with a junior rider. He was the 2007 AHS Regular Working Hunter Champion.
Alax's dam, Raven, is a product of the well respected Marefield Meadows breeding program. She is a lovely mare inside and out. Very correct legs and hooves, with good amount of bone. Excellent hindquarter mechanics and works nicely over her back. Temperament is sweet, cuddly, and willing.
Raven's sire, Ruiz Soler, personifies the essence of the modern riding horse. He returned to Klein Roscharden from the stallion performance test in Neustadt/Dosse as the outstanding winner, receiving scores of 9 and 10 for rideability and jumping which proves his great double talent, combining three excellent basic paces with fascinating jumping qualities. In 2000 he received the Main Premium for the excellent quality of his first foal crop. He won several riding horse tests as well as dressage horse tests in novice level, before being exported to the United States where he was gelded and went on to success in the hunter ring under the name "Honored".
Raven's grandsire, Rienzi, was also bred and owned by Marefield Meadows. He was the highest placed Hanoverian stallion at his 100 day test in 1998, showing an excellent canter, trot and walk with a strong but elastic back. He produces rideable amateur friendly offspring that are athletic and very versatile. They are known for their beautiful feet, strong backs/loins, and a very quick hind leg. They are quiet and lovely to work with. Rienzi offspring have found much success in both the hunter and dressage rings.
