This lovely imported gelding has everything you’re looking for in a long term partner and upper level prospect. He is kind, inquisitive, people oriented and has the right combination of sensitivity and quietness. Ride inside or outside, alone or in busy arenas, loads and travels easily. Get on and go at the show and in new environments, no lungeing necessary. Good hindleg, a very free shoulder and lots of potential for lengthening along with the talent and ability to sit. Three quality and COMFORTABLE gaits. Show experience at Training Level and training for 1st and 2nd level at home. Galio has done some small cross rail schooling and enjoys the challenge of small jumps and pole work, and he has also been introduced to Working Equitation obstacles. He is comfortable being ridden out in fields and has also been ponied and is well behaved. He has proven to be patient and calm when being introduced to new riders, including a day of teaching inexperienced children from **Detroit Horse Power. He truly flourishes under riders who have a quiet seat and gentle hands, and is quick to pick up new concepts. Light, responsive and balanced, he gives the rider a great feel without being overly hot or reactive.
Loads, lunges, clips, bathes, stands single or cross tied and ties at the horse trailer. Good for farrier and vet. Happy living inside or outside. Currently lives outside nearly 24/7 (weather permitting) with a small group of mares. Is well behaved in his stall when in, and transitions to full time stall keeping at shows with no issue.

He has also started his introduction to in hand work, lifting each leg when touched, walking forward/ halting with only raising and lowering the whip and stepping back wards easily with the transition to half steps close on the horizon.

We have worked with several clinicians including Rebecca Hughes and Paula Kierkegard who have been impressed with his temperament, ability and quick mind. I am motivated to find him the right partner for the next part of his life!

**Detroit Horse Power is a program that partners with area barns to provide horse experiences to children in the Detroit Public School System. For most of these kids, this is their first horse experience, along with their first riding experience.
