Lovely, athletic, coming 6yo mare that had a successful start in Eventing and Dressage. Several 1st place finishes as a 4 yo at events and dressage scores in the 20’s (high 70’s). Greta was bred to be a top level event horse as her pedigree carries a significant amount of TB and jumping Holsteiner lines. However, she has lovely uphill confirmation and gaits that could easily be an FEI dressage prospect. She is a medium framed WB, good feet/ legs, and big galloping stride. Last year had intended to breed her but due to no fault of her own, had missed a few cycles combined with an older stallion, needless to say she didn’t take. She has had a little over a year off, no injuries, never lame and could either be put back to work or used as a broodmare. Selling at broodmare price as I have no time to put her back in a training program. My loss is your gain. She is a registered Holsteiner and could have foals registered in almost any registry- Holsteiner, Hanoverian,Oldenburg, or KWPN.

If put back under saddle, I feel the best situation for her is to go back into a professional full training program. She would be well suited for either an experienced rider / young professional looking for a top quality horse on a shoe string budget or someone wanting to improve their breeding program. Greta is NOT necessarily a hot/ tense mare, she requires a skilled, tactful ride as she is quite sensitive. She is happiest in a living situation where she can have pasture turnout. Fabulous athlete that is still young enough to excel to the highest levels or produce years of outstanding prospects. Gets along well with others in a herd situation and would be an outstanding choice as a broodmare. Good set of full X-rays on file from Sept. 2018.
