Gavilan REY is an ANCCE inscribed seven year old grey PRE gelding. We affectionately call him “Freddie”. His training under saddle began with hacking out on trails where he learned to cross water and bridges, plus negotiate boulders and fallen trees.
Started lightly Freddie is now showing training
level and working on his first level transitions, leg
yields, and lengthening his trot and canter.
He has been backed by professionals, amateurs, and children. Although his training has just begun he shows a willingness to work with the professionals and a forgiving nature toward the less knowledgeable riders. The video below is of Freddie allowing a pony clubber to ride him after only one month under saddle. Freddie is now on his second summer of dressage training.
