Ghalewind (17 h) had a good in hand career at USDF sporthorse shows. She was ranked 14th in nation for 2 year old fillies (USDF), ranked 16th in nation for 3 year old fillies (USDF), was 2nd at Dressage at Devon - 3 year old fillies, and was 5th at Dressage at Devon - 2 year old fillies. She is very rideable under saddle and has big gaits with lots of suspension. Ghalewind is also a SUPER jumper - see photos and video of her jumping at www.edgewoodmeadowfarm.com. Ghalewind is full sibling to a gelding (Ghlenlivet) who AHS 4th level Champion and was 12th for USDF 4th level Open HOY awards in 2008. In 2009, Ghlenlivet was 5th for PSG for HOY for AHS. Previously, Ghlenlivet was 12th in the nation at USDF First level (2004), AHS Reserve Champion First Level and AHS Champion First Level Freestyle, was 5th in the nation at USDF Open at Second Level in 2005, top 15 in the nation in USDF Open at 3rd Level (2006), 7th in nation in USDF Open at 3rd Level, and 1st place USDF 3rd Level Open Freestyle (2007).

Sound and a very good riding horse. Ghalewind was restarted after having her 2009 foal (Espresso EMF - sold, but still listed on www.warmblood-for-sale). However, she has not been ridden regularly because of owner's other commitments

She has excellent gaits under saddle, with very consistent rhythm. She has tremendous suspension and push off the ground and teaching extending and collecting was very easy for her. She is trained to First Level, although she also does know some 2nd level movements (eg, Shoulder In, Travers). She should quickly move up the levels with consistent work (just like her full brother Ghlenlivet)

She showed excellent fertility too. On her first breeding, she conceived twins (which both had to be aborted at 30 days because they were not reduced successfully). On the 2nd breeding, she conceived a singleton (Espresso EMF). Good mother, easy to foal out. Very kind with her foal.

Ghalewind is very friendly and good natured. Not mareish at all. She is suitable for an adult amateur rider.
