2 for 1! Hanoverian broodmare in foal to Bliss MF
Flashy Exceptionally bred 2002 Hanoverian mare by Gold Luck x Eisenherz I in foal to Bliss MF (Balou du Rouet x Argentinus) for April 2016. Foal will be a full sibling to Oldenburg GOV Premium colt Balou Moon TCE.
Ghradine is a 16.2 2002 Hanoverian mare by Gold Luck and out of the Elite Hanoverian mare Eden whom is by Eisenherz I. Ghradine is very sweet level headed mare which she has been proving to pass onto her offspring. Her 2014 Oldenburg GOV premium colt Balou Moon TCE by Bliss MF was a total pocket pony and was born having a old soul. He loves attention and stands ground tied to get baths and be body clipped. Ghradine is very easy to get in foal (she caught on the first try both times) and is a excellent mother. She is a very easy keeper and does not require shoes. She is in both the American Hanoverian Society and Oldenburg Horse Breeder's Society (Oldenburg GOV) Main Mare Book. She is currently in foal to Bliss MF for a April 2016 foal who will be a full sibling to Balou Moon TCE who was a Oldenburg GOV Premium colt. Ghradine is not sound to be ridden due to a old stifle injury but would be a asset to any breeding program. The ONLY reason this mare is for sale is because I am getting out of breeding. She is a lovely producer and excellent broodmare.
Bliss MF was the Overall Reserve Champion of the 2012 NA 70 Day stallion test. He actually had the highest overall score of 127.6, but having the 5% age deduction of 5.29 subtracted gave Bliss MF a terrific score of 122.31, just shy of the winning score of 126.59 (no age deduction). Bliss MF was definitely the most well rounded stallion, finishing second in jumping with a score of 124.23 and third in Dressage with a score of 119.77 Bliss MF's scores were 9 for Character, 9 for Temperament, 9.5 for Willingness to Work, 9 for Constitution. His movement scores were 8 for trot, 9 for Gallop and 10 for Jump. Bliss MF is approved BWP, Hanoverian, RPSI, Oldenburg GOV, sBs and Westphalin.
Bliss has extremely sought after bloodlines and his incredible athletic ability comes from both his sire Balou du Rouet and his dam sire Argentinus. Balou du Rouet is one of the best German horses of his age group. Equipped with maximum elasticity in his gaits, he completed an excellent Stallion Performance Test awarded with the top marks of 9.5 and 10.0 for jumping by the ‘foreign’ judges. In 2005 he caught everyone’s attention by scoring the highest mark of 9.2 at the national championships, making him one of Germany’s top 4 licensed stallions. His enormous jumping talent, combined with great elastic gaits and a fascinating charisma make Balou du Rouet an exciting choice for the breeders of sports horses. Once again, Balou du Rouet emphasises his dominant quality as a producer in type, elegance and movement, with numerous foals at many different auctions. He continuously produces finalists for the German foal championships. Offspring of Balou du Rouet have been approved at almost every stallion licensing most notably the licensed BE BRAVO, who sold for €350.000 as the most expensive horse of the 2007 AOS auction. His number of approved sons has amounted to over ten stallions. As a descendant of Baloubet du Rouet – gold medallist at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and an incredible three-times successive World Cup Champion he has one of the most successful jumping stallions on the international scene in his pedigree. His grand sire Galoubet is a son of the great stallion Alme and was already an international success at the young age of seven. He won team gold in 1982 at the World Championships. On the dam’s side, Balou du Rouet is directly related to the founder of the bloodline, Cor de la Bryere, from Holstein through Rantzau xx. The similarity can be seen in Balou du Rouet’s jumping style and ability. His stunning dam Georgia is by the increasingly popular Contender son Continue. The offspring of the dam’s sire, Continue, achieved lifetime earnings of over € 230.000. Bliss's dam Ornella is by the great Argentinus who is the most influential son of the Hanoverian stallion, Argentan I. Argentinus led the FN statistics of his age group for the sum of prize money earned by his offspring for an astounding seven years. He is a true genius when it comes to passing on desirable traits. Only very few stallions have sired high performance horses that reached international level not only in dressage but in jumping as well but for Argentinus, this was common place. In 1996, the son of the Celle stallion, Argentan I, became Germany’s youngest millionaire measured by the prize money his offspring won. Successful in advanced level jumping himself, this imposing sire has produced 28 approved sons and 48 State Premium mares. Horses such as the Oldenburg, Albano, who won team gold at the 2001 European Championships in dressage with Heike Kemmer, Isabell Werth’s two-time German Champion in dressage, Amaretto, who unfortunately died too early, or Autogramm, ridden by Thomas Mühlbauer, who participated in 10 Nation Cups - all of these and many more are examples of the willingness to perform that Argentinus gave to his offspring.
Ghradine's sire Gold Luck (Grundstein I-Annette/Abundance) has been listed in the top 25 of Leading Dressage Sires for the USEF for several years in a row. He has produced many competition horses that have been ranked high in Horse of the Year standings and in USDF All-Breeds awards for the AHS. He produced multiple show champions in Dressage Sport Breed shows, and to demonstrate the versatility from his bloodlines, in 2005 he produced the highest scoring mare for the nation in the Mare Performance Test free jump chute for the AHS. In 2003, two Gold Luck offspring won their under saddle classes at Dressage at Devon. He has at least two offspring thus far that have reached the Grand Prix level in dressage. In 2011, Gold Luck's daughter Special Premium Candidate Ghodiva (damsire, DeNiro) was named the top mare of the year for the GOV. Gold Luck offspring are consistently recognized for their extravagant movement, correct conformation, outstanding temperament and overall impression.
Gold Luck is by the legendary Grand Prix dressage stallion Grundstein who was imported to the US in 1985 after siring 13 fully approved breeding stallions in Germany. He has been the leading sire in the FN rankings among stallions in the top 10% of their age group in both jumping and dressage from 1988 to 2000. In 1995 Grundstein's dressage index was 178 and his jumping index was 142. Grundstein's sire Graphit also produced Grannus, a top jumping stallion with lifetime earnings of well over five million DM, who in turn produced seven Olympic hoses and more than 60 approved stallions including Graf Grannus, the 2004 Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. Graphit is by the legendary stallion Grande. Grande (Graf/SPS Duellfest/Duellant) stood at stud for a remarkable 25 years (1962-1987) and has left an indelible mark on the Hanoverian breed. Grande is ranked in the German Eternal Top 10 sire list. He produces both Jumping and Dressage horses of the best quality as influenced by the blood of Graf on his sire’s side and Duellent on his Dam’s side. He sired more than 40 approved sons, the most famous of which are Garibaldi II, Graphit, Gralsritter and Glander who went on to be influential sires in their own right. Both Grande and his own offspring were noted for producing horses which excelled in dressage and show jumping. Grande's line dominates the sport of dressage in Germany and abroad. He is the grandsire of several Olympic champions including Gifted, Grunox and Gigolo FRH.
The G-Line is reknown as the most important and famous producer of international performance horses in the world both in dressage and jumping.
Gold Luck's dams pedigree includes the legendary Absatz. Absatz was Abglanz's most famous son and sired 37 licensed stallions and 17 fully licensed and approved stallions. He also produced 84 States Premium mares and has 823 total registered offspring in Hanover, 446 of which are approved mares in the studbook. Equally impressive are his 348 registered competition offspring whose earnings are 943,787.00 DM. Absatz was the champion stallion of the 1962 Verden licensing. Absatz was a stallion with a very refined head and light, free action. This father and son line has had an enormous influence in refining the Hanoverian from farm horse to modern sport horse. He gave the modern Hanoverian the characteristic and incomparable "Absatz type" which this breed was envied of for a long time and by which this breed still profits in the second and third generations even today. A noble head with an impressive face, ideal neck and saddle position, as well as light-footed paces combined with a good shoulder are the characteristics of his offspring. He was an equally successful sire of show jumpers and dressage horses.
