"Gator" is by the elite Hanoverian stallion, Graf Top II, out of a TB granddaughter of Alydar. He was a Premium foal at his inspection and received the High Scoring Colt award with scores of 8.4/8.4/8.4 and an overall 8.4. With Cor de la Bryere, Graphit, and Gotthard in his pedigree, he was bred to jump, but he was also praised for being an EXCELLENT dressage prospect by inspector Christian Schacht.
