Gratiano aka Romeo is a 2019 Premium GOV gelding that currently stands 16.1 hands. Although he was bred in Germany, he was born in the USA. He has a German passport with the Verband. Romeo is an absolute barn favorite due to how personable he is. This boy is so very sweet and kind, and LOVES to be loved on. He is incredibly easy to live with and really wants to please his person. Romeo was slowly started under saddle fall 2022 and seems to take everything in stride. He boasts expressive and comfortable gaits that really float across the aren, and an exceptional character. He is the perfect prospect for a capable AA or Jr/YR to bring along. He shows a great talent for collection, and is already so balanced. He is schooling basic lateral work, ground pole exercises, counter canter work, and can even canter walk/walk canter. Romeo is royally bred for sport featuring so many well sought after German Elite stallions in his pedigree not seen often stateside. This spring he attended a Young Horse Show at our farm where he scored an 81.5 % in hand and was the second highest score of the entire show. He attended a handful of shows this summer as both a non compete and competition horse. I was so impressed with how easily he settled into the show environment. He schooled nicely in company and was so confident.

Romeo is by Ivanhoe who is a Millennium stallion out of a States Premium mare who is by Hohenstein. His Damsire Hancock needs no introduction and is currently a GP horse with his adult ammy rider/owner. Ivanhoe combines the blood of the internationally sought-after Gribaldi with the elite stallions Ravel and Consul via Easy Game. Millennium was second reserve winner of the Trakehner licensing in 2010. He became the second best dressage stallion in the 30-day test and the best dressage stallion in the 70-day test where his performance received high marks. Furthermore, Millennium became Trakehner Vice-Champion of the four-year-old stallions in 2012 and qualified for the Bundeschampion in Warendorf. Ivanhoe's damsire Hohenstein is one of the most important sires of the past decades. He became dressage winner of his stallion performance test in 1994 in Adelheidsdorf and later became a ten time S dressage winner. He has presented over 60 S-dressage horses, of which seven horses have accrued lifetime winnings of more than 10,000 euros. Romeo's Damsire Hancock needs no introduction as he was awarded Premium Stallion of the Trakehner stallion licensing in Neumünster and the crowd pleaser in the Holstenhallen in 2011. Hancock won the 70-day Stallion performance test in Marbach. He's currently stateside focusing on his competition career with his adult ammy rider/owner.
