Sells in foal to the fabulous stallion Velantis N. Sell the foal in 2025, recoup some of the purchase price and then put her back under saddle!

Dhione is a fun horse with an active hindquarter. She is willing, cooperative, and quietly forward, always trying to please her rider.

SELLS IN FOAL TO VELANTIS N!!! We no longer have an in-house trainer and the farm is for sale. Dhione will obtain the Hanoverian Premium Mare title after the birth of her 2025 foal.
A powerhouse under saddle- not tall so suited for a rider not wanting a big horse. Hanoverian Premium Mare Candidate Dhione is a pocket pony! Dhione was inspected and mare performance tested on September 7, 2023, where she was named a Premium Mare Candidate. Her scores for mare inspection included 8's for head, neck, foreleg, hindleg, conformation, and overall impression and development. Her final score was a 7.5. Jumping is not her thing (6), but her Mare Performance Test scores included an 8 for canter, and 7.5 for walk, trot and rideability. Final score 7.05. She was one of the top mares in 2024 for the American Hanoverian Society (photo was invertedly left out of the year-end awards magazine published by the AHS- BUMMER...)

Dhione's sire, D'Olympus stood at Celle as one of the selected stallions. He did his 14-day test in Neustadt-Dosse. For the interior, the jury awarded a 9.25, for the character a 9.5, the willingness to perform was rated a 9.0, for the trot- 8.5, canter 8.5, walk 8.0 and for rideability D'Olympus was awarded an 8.5. D'Olympus' father Don Olymbrio is no less than the internationally successful Jazz-Ferro son, who with Daniel Bachmann Andresen came fourth in the Nations Cup in Aachen in 2020. He has reached the Grand Prix level in sport. He was named Elite Stallion in Danish Warmblood at age 9. Winner of Grand Prix Special with 79,702% at World Cup Herning. International wins in Herning, ’s-Hertogenbosch, Randbøl and Uggerhalne. Sire to WCYH silver medalist, WCYH finalists and several approved sons. This internationally successful stallion was paired with the St.Pr.St. Dancy and D'Olympus thus has the very popular Dancier in his pedigree. She is full sister of Designer-successful up to Prix St. Georges under Uta Gräf, and half sister of the sport horses Sherwood Forrest by Sherlock Holmes, Dai Jin by Don Frederico and St.Pr.St. Fabriana by Fabriano. Grandmother, St.Pr.St. Welfenkrone by Weltmeyer is not only a highly successful show mare herself, but also gave birth to two licensed stallions and numerous sport horses. The quality of the Claudine dam line is known throughout Germany.
Dhione was bred by Hans Henning von der Decken, one of the premier Hanoverian breeders in Germany. Her damline sports 3 straight generations of State Premium mares. Her dam sire, Fuerst Nymphenburg (Florencio/DeNiro) was the reserve champion of his stallion licensing in Verden, he then went on to win his stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf, with the highest dressage index of 147.23 points. His overall score was 134.98. He was reserve champion at the Hanoverian Young Horse Championships in 2008 , and then he participated in the Bundeschampionate where he received great marks (8.5 for exterior, 8.0 for each for canter, training, and presentation) and placed 9th overall. Furst Nymphenburg then went on to place and win at in the Dressage arena right up to S-Level in Germany, under both professionals and a junior rider. Furst Nympenburg has sired seven licensed sons, and 66 state premium mares, on top of the many foal champions, elite auction horses, etc.

Dhione is a dressage prospect of the highest quality. Her hindquarter action is natural and suggests a future ability to sit and collect. She is good in the contact, and she shows a cooperative and agreeable disposition.

UPDATE! Dhione was taken off property for an off the farm experience and she was perfectly behaved. She loaded and unloaded from the trailer quietly, stood quietly while the other horse was ridden, and behaved perfectly when ridden in the strange arena. What a good girl!

Rolling Stone Farm

Warmblood breeder for 44 years. Owner of large Oldenburg (GOV) and Hanoverian breeding farm in eastern PA. Young, well started dressage horses and occasional hunter prospects always available. USDF Bronze, Silver, Gold, Sapphire, Ruby and Platinum Breeder of Distinction. I have produced 39 Elite Mares and Elite Mare Candidates, and 3 State Premium Mares for the Hanoverian Society, and 32 Special Premium mares and 17 Verbands Premium mares, 191 Premium Foals and 48 Foals of Distinction for the German Oldenburg Verband. I have produced 9 licensed stallions, including the fully licensed and approved stallion named Shakespeare RSF (winner of the 2009 70 day stallion test), a licensed stallion named Somer Hit, 3 licensed stallions in 2012 (one from the first foal crop of Shakespeare RSF- Shotgun, also Dheputy and a stallion in Germany), Fhitzgerald and Sir James (both imported from Germany and successfully completed the 70 day stallion test here in the US), another licensed stallion in 2014 named Shavane- the second licensed Shakespeare RSF son who is out of homebred EM Rheporter (Royal Prince/Weltmeyer). In 2015 another Shakespeare son was licensed- Shortstop, who was Grand Champion at a USDF breed show in 2015. I have bred four top 6 FEI Young Horse National Champions and multiple HOY winners in hand and in dressage, and four winners of the Young Hunters Under Saddle at Hunter Devon. We stand Shakespeare RSF (Sandro Hit/Arrian). I estimate I have bred about 450 foals to date, and I also sell young stock and up to 20-25 riding horses a year. Some of my horses are fourth and fifth generation from my own breeding program. I started out in hunters and jumpers and then rode dressage up to the PSG level, not competing much due to family and farm commitments. I finally received her USDF Bronze and Silver medals in 2018. My homebred Hanoverians and Oldenburgs have been top ten in national dressage rankings and have won many under saddle and in hand classes at many shows such as Dressage at Devon (Grand Champion 2011 and Reserve Grand Champion 2021), NEDA (Grand Champion 2021 and 2022) and the hunter show at Devon. I have produced numerous champions and reserve champions at many in hand shows and has been in the top 8 ranking for USDF Dressage Breeder of the Year since 2013, leading that category in 2020 and 2022. I was the 2016 and 2018 USDF Dressage Sport Horse Breeding Breeder of the Year and have been in the top 16 since 2013. I have been the USEF Dressage Breeder of the Year every year 2014-2023 and was 2nd in that category from 2011-2013 and in 2022. In 2021 I was also the USEF Dressage Breeding Breeder of the Year and was in the top 4 for the USEF Dressage Sport Horse Breeder of the Year 2013- 2022. My greatest pleasure has been breeding suitable horses for the amateur market in the disciplines of dressage or hunter with an emphasis on rideability and movement.
