Jhuno received the Bari von Buedingen trophy from the American Hanoverian Society for being the highest score mare in 2023! Rolling Stone Farm had our American Hanoverian Society inspection on September 7, 2023, and although small, it was very successful and fun. Jhuno received 9's for head, neck, typiness and femininity, and 8's for saddle position, foreleg, conformation, trot and overall impression and development with a final score of 7.83. Jumping was not her forte, receiving a 6, and at 1/3 of the score, that was costly to the overall score in the MPT. Jhuno received 8's on rideability, trot and canter with a total score of 7.16. She was the top mare for inspection and the top mare for her performance test. She was awarded the Premium Mare Candidate title. She still has lots of maturing and filling out to do. I am excited about her!
Jhuno's sire Jovian (Aoache-Tango) was winner of the Dutch Championships for three-year-olds 2017, world champion of the five-year-old horses, and world champion of the seven-year-old
horses. He was named Premium Stallion in Danish Warmblood 2018. He was winner of the sport test in Münster Handorf 2019 with a score of 9.01. He was also named premium stallion at the Danish
licensing and secured silver at the Dutch Pavo Cup. In 2019, as well as his gold medal at the World Championships, he also won the silver medal at the Danish Championships. At the age of
eight, he has already won a series of competitions in international Grand Prix arenas and was fourth in the World Cup Freestyle in Vilhelmsborg/DEN - with a score of over 80 percent.
Jhuno's dam, State Premium Santana is sired by the famous Sandro Hit with a Lanthan granddam. There are 4 generations of State Premium mares in her pedigree. Jhuno was imported as a yearling from Germany.
HPMC Jhuno still has a lot of maturing and filling out to do. At 17 hands, she is tall and elegant. Her balance changes week to week, but there are glimpses of a future dressage career. She is sometimes inconsistent in the contact, because of her maturing slowly and having balance issues, but we expect these to resolve as she matures and evens out in her growth. What a valuable breeding mare she can be after her riding career is over!
She is entered in a dressage schooling show Feb. 24.
