Born May 8th, 2011, Hidden Orchard Coraggio (Thor) is a handsome, athletic and bold gelding. He loves people and attention. Thor currently stands 16.2 1/2h has lovely movement, a ground covering trot and powerful canter.

Bred to be a top performance prospect, Thor’s lineage represents the best in show jumping. His sire, the Holsteiner stallion Chablis I Z is by the famous Holsteiner stallion, Corrado I. Chablis 1Z was licensed in 2004 by the Holsteiner Verband. Chablis 1 Z has shown to 1.40m in the jumpers in Ontario and California.

Aviary, Thor’s dam, has produced offspring competing successfully in the hunter/jumper ring in the US and Canada. Thor's half-sister (same dam), Belle Nuit has shown up to Grand Prix at major US venues.

Thor was shown as a weanling and yearling at line shows in Ontario. He also participated in a 2 day ground clinic and a free jumping clinic as a coming two year old.

Thor was started under saddle in September 2013 as a 2 year old and had 2 1/2 months of under saddle training prior to having the winter off.

In July 2014, as a 3 year old, Thor started back in training at Franklands Farm home of Canadian dressage competitor Gina Smith, who commented: He is a lovely mover, all gaits are exceptional! Thor was at Franklands Farm for July, August and September prior to heading to Millar Brooke Farm.

Thor completed 2 weeks of training over fences at Millar Brooke Farm in October and was ridden and jumped by Amy and Jonathon Millar.

Thor jumped a complete course and also jumped a Liverpool among many other types of fences. He jumped everything without a second glance. They were impressed with his attitude and mind.

Thor had the winter off to mature and grow and has been back in a riding program at Franklands Farm with Gina Smith since July 2015. Thor has excellent flat work and continues to progress and excel. His work ethic is second to none.
