Hiro was born June 15th 2010, and already this colt is showing incredible athleticism and presence. He possesses beautifully balanced, uphill gaits and tons of power that will excel in the Dressage arena. He is outgoing and friendly, and is a very tall and leggy boy. He should finish at least 17 hands. Hiro has excellent conformation with long, straight legs, a beautiful head and neck that tie into the shoulder nicely, and a strong back and hindquarters. Not only is he going to be eyecatching in the show ring, but he's also a major sweetheart and super friendly, and he'll be your very best friend. He has been fearless so far, and wants to be in your back pocket. Already learning to wear his halter, have all 4 feet picked up, be touched all over, fly sprayed, and gets sprayed with the hose. Hiro handles everything in stride and is brave and attentive, and enjoys attention no matter what we're doing! At only 1 day old Hiro was splashing through puddles and romping through the rain, so Eventers take note! This guy won't have a problem crossing creeks and mastering the water jumps. And with a pedigree like Hiro's, success is practically guaranteed.
Hiro is out of the 17.3 hand registered and branded Hanoverian mare, Wrosafaith. She is a big bodied, powerful, and TALL mare. She has fantastic gaits with loads of suspension and natural uphill carriage. Not only is she a beautiful mover, but Wrosafaith (Rosie as we call her) is a sweetheart of a mare who thrives on human interaction. She is friendly and laidback, and has loads of personality. She is teaching Hiro manners and is a fabulous mother. Wrosafaith is a daughter of the legendary Dressage stallion, Weltmeyer. When it comes to capacity for dressage and the temperament necessary for a top competitor, this stallion simply cannot be beaten. Weltmeyer was the 1986 winner of the stallion licensing in Verden, and the 1987 winner of the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf. In the same year Weltmeyer also won the three-year-old stallions classification at the Federal Championships of German Riding Horses in Warendorf. In 1988 he was honored in Verden as best stallion of his age-group and awarded with the "Freiherr von Stenglin-Prize". One year later he became DLG Champion 1989 in Frankfurt. And last but not least he became "Hanoverian Stallion of the Year" in 1998. As of today, Weltmeyer has produced 70 licensed sons, all of them are excellent stallions. Weltmeyer is also very highly known for producing stellar daughters who are extremely good producers themselves.
Not only is Wrosafaith's sire line one of the best you can ask for, but her damline also boasts some of the greatest Hanoverian bloodlines. Her dam, Elite mare and States Premium candidate Barilla, is a 5th generation Elite Mare, and scored an impressive 8.0 on her Mare Inspection and a 7.67 on her Mare Performance Test in Germany before being imported. She carries the old world blood of Bolero, who is a legend himself, producing 51 licensed stallions and still accredited with shaping the modern warmblood breed, even 20 years after his death. And also the blood of Akzent I, who won his stallion performance test in 1976 out of 30 stallions at Adelheidsdorf and received the Freiherr von Stenglin award at Verden in 1977. EM Barilla has produced many fabulous foals that have won Premium and Top Foal at their breed inspections.
Hiro's damline is quite impressive, so we knew we needed a very special stallion to cross with Rosie. We chose Multiple Top 5 National Champion PRE Andalusian stallion, Heroe MAC. This stallion was bred by Senor Miguel Cardenas of Ecija, Spain and imported to the USA as a yearling. The Cardenas name is renown throughout the world as one of the top breeders for movement, size, and disposition. Heroe continues that tradition with strong and powerful movement as well as a kind, gentle, and willing disposition. He is a work oriented stallion who is just now, at the age of 12, beginning his Dressage training and career, and loving every minute of it. Heroe MAC has 3 exceptional gaits with incredible power, reach, and suspension. He has a wonderful neck and head that he repeatedly passes on to his foals, and Hiro is no exception. Heroe MAC was 2009 USEF Andalusian/Lusitano Halter Horse of the Year and USDF Dressage Sporthorse In Hand 4 and over Stallions Reserve Champion. Heroe has multiple Regional Championships, including Best Movement and Senior Stallion, and was Top 5 National Champion in Best Movement and Purebred Stallions. This stallion has it all! Beauty, brawn, brains, and the ability to pass it all on to his foals! Heroe MAC foals are winning in the show arena, and also proving they can produce fabulous offspring themselves.
