Hortensie (nickname Emory) is by Cassini I out of a Lincoln mare. She has successfully been bred the past 2 years to both Quinar and Contendro I. She produces healthy, strong foals with good conformation and personalities.
During her career as a show horse, Emory competed in the 1.50m and above international grand prix classes in Europe, before coming to the US as a high Junior/Amateur jumper. Very honest, brave and scopey to the jumps, with a smooth canter. Overall very conventional to ride.
A very classic type holsteiner with a big boned figure and strong muscle tone and topline, she can compliment many different types of stallions, especially the more modern and fine types.
Emory is still very sound and could be brought back into work slowly if desired, but definitely has been enjoying her job as a mom.
The foal in the pictures is her first foal, Quaisar, by Quinar.
