Rio is leggy, refined, and elegant with a puppy dog personality. He is not phased by much and comes out of the barn the same, safe, amateur friendly partner every day. His trot and canter show lovely cadence and he gives a special feeling of power in his back at the canter.
Rio is sired by Blue Hors Hotline, who enjoyed many International Grand Prix wins. Hotline is currently ranked 12th dressage sire in the world with progeny performing at the top levels of our sport according to the WBFSH (World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses). Hotline is known for passing on his rideability, tractability, talent, and soundness to his offspring. Rio's dam Brazil performed thru 3rd level with her amateur owner.
