Lux is a beautiful, substantial Westfalen gelding by the 2024 Canadian Hunter Derby National Champion, Light My Fire. Lux looks to be an exceptional young prospect for the hunter or jumper ring. We expect Lux to mature to approximately 16.3 hands.

His sire, Light My Fire (Light On/Stakkato/Argentinus), has a long list of wins, including being both the Canadian Amateur Owner 3'6 Hunter Champion and the Canadian Hunter Derby National Canadian at the Royal and the Western Canadian Derby Champion in 2024. Lux's dam, SF Lady Destiny, was also awarded premium mare at her Westphalian inspection. She is a granddaughter of the great Galoubet and sired by Le Mode (Limited Edition/Symbol). Le Mode has been a consistent producer of some of the highest-scoring foals on the RPSI keuring tour. His offspring are known for their rideability and athleticism and they can be found showing in the hunter, jumper, dressage and eventing rings. Lady Destiny has proven to be a wonderful broodmare who produces big, beautiful babies with quiet and friendly temperaments. Lux is her second foal by Light My Fire; we liked her first foal so much we decided to repeat the cross, hoping for a filly.

We believe Lux is a wonderful prospect for the hunter or jumper ring. He has been raised with 24 hour turnout, daily handling, and regular veterinary and farrier care. Lux does well in turnout with other horses and alone. He loads and trailers well, stands beautifully for the farrier, and is up to date on vaccinations.
