The Hanoverian stallion, Schroeder, is Ilex’s sire. Ilex’s dam is a fabulous unraced TB mare who is a wonderful mover.

Ilex’s pedigree ensures extraordinary potential, hailing from proven dressage and jumping lines. He is a high quality gelding with all the right tools for many disciplines; the upper level hunters, dressage, jumpers or eventing! He has a willing disposition and great character. Ilex is a quality horse with reputable bloodlines. Ilex 's sire’s bloodlines include both dressage and show jumping champions.

Ilex’s sire is Schroeder, who is a 17hh modern type Hanoverian and a 2012 USEF leading dressage breeding sire.

Schroeder is currently competing at 4th level dressage. In 2010, he qualified for the FEI 6 year-old National Championships and finished 11th in the nation. In 2008, he was #4 USDF Materiale Horse of the Year and #1 USDF Hanoverian Stallion.

Schroeder & rider Mary Bahniuk Lauritsen won their 4th Level, Test 1 class with a 76% at the Centerline Dressage show in August 2013. Mary also won the Jamie Rudolph award for riders below age 25 with the highest score. Schroeder received an 8 on his walk and all 8's on the back page, which includes gaits, impulsion, submission and harmony between rider and horse.

Schroeder is an approved Hanoverian (AHS) stallion and passed his 70 day test in Germany in 2007. He showed super character (rated 9), endurance, good movement and also jumped well.

Schroeder's sire is the renowned Sandro Hit, who was the winner of the 1999, 6 year-old Dressage World Championships and German Bundeschampionate.

Schroeder’s Grandsire, Escudo I, was the winner of the stallion performance test in 1994 and achieved a convincing 144.90 points in the jumping category. Escudo I also won the 6 year-old World Show Jumping Championships in 1997.

Schroeder's dam, Esmeralda, was champion at several elite mare shows in Germany.

Ilex’s Dam: GH Aurora (Rosie) is a sweetheart who is a great mover with a willing disposition, both under saddle and on the ground. She is gorgeous, very quiet and well-behaved. She is for sale on this website.
