Izaak is a tall, leggy colt with a curious yet mellow personality. Like his sire and dam, he combines elastic, uphill movement with a willing and kind temperament. We expect Izaak to excel in dressage or eventing. He is expected to mature 16.2 -16.3 and has been handled daily so is well behaved for a young colt.
Izaak's sire, Bugatti Hilltop is known to pass on modern type, correct conformation, exquisite elastic movement and wonderful temperament. He has been described as a "thinking horse" with a willingness to please. He received all 9's on character, temperament, rideability and all three gaits at his stallion performance test, and earned 140 points in the dressage portion of the test. He competed at Bundeschampionate in 2003 and 2004 and finished in the Top 12 each year. Bugatti continued on into the FEI World Breed Championship for Young Horses and national and international competitions at PSG and Intermediate. His oldest US bred offspring are winning at competitions in dressage and three day eventing around the country.
Aspen, Izaak's dam, has proven herself in the dressage show ring, winning the USDF Region 6 Adult Amateur Training Level Championship in 2010 with an average score of 72. She received mostly 9's for her gaits. She retired from the show ring after an injury. Her previous owner said her pet name at the barn was "Aspen I Love You" due to her wonderful, willing temperament. Aspen's maternal siblings are winning at regional and national dressage competitions around the country. And her sir, Flemmingh is known to pass on wonderful temperament, gaits and elasticity. Izaak is Aspen's first foal.
