SELLER MOTIVATED DUE TO SEVERE DROUGHT IN GEORGIA!
Jasper MM is a stunning young gelding who is a 3/4 brother to the amazing young stallion Ampere. Like his famous brother, Jasper has gorgeous, powerful yet elastic gaits with great suspension and use of the back. He has an intelligent yet sensitive temperament, making him an excellent choice for anyone wanting to reach the highest levels in dressage.
At 2 years old, Jasper MM is 16.3 hh and is still growing. He has great ground manners, is good for the farrier, and trailers well. He has not been started in formal training yet as we want to give him time to mature both physically and mentally. He has been pastured with geldings, fillies and mares and is respectful of all. He has clean xrays and is lifetime registered with USEF.
Jasper MM is by Hamony's Rousseau, who was recently awarded the Keur predicate. The Keur award was based not only on the good conformation he has passed on to his offspring, but also because his offspring have proven themselves in sport. Rousseau was Champion of the 2001 KWPN Stallion Performance Test and won the Pavo Cup as a four-year-old. He won the stallion competition 2002/2003 and in 2003, received the silver medal at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for 5-year-olds in Verden. His progeny’s successes have not gone unnoticed. For three consecutive years he sired the champions of the KWPN Stallion Show: Wamberto, Blue Hors Zack and Ampere. Ampere passed the performance test by besting the top score at that time. At the test, his riders praised him as the best horse they had ridden in years and particularly praised his suppleness, self-carriage and strong hind leg Another big ambassador for Rousseau at the international level is his son Zippo. More than half of his daughters presented at the keuring have been rewarded with the ster predicate, thereby clearly proving Rousseau’s qualities as a sire.
In 2010, Jasper's dam, Aspen, was the USDF Region 6 AA Training Level Champion with a median score of 72%. That same year, she was 10th in the USDF HOY standings. A heartbreaking injury ended her show career, but she is a wonderful broodmare producing professional quality offspring . Aspen's previous owner and trainer told us she was the easiest mare she had ever had the opportunity to own and train because she loved to work and learned so quickly.
Aspen's sire, Flemmingh, was the USEF #1 Dressage Sire in 2006 and 2007. The KWPN has named him the highest ranking of Preferent for his contribution to Dutch Warmblood breeding in Holland. His offspring are highly successful in dressage at any level because they are very eager learners, like to work, move very easily and well.
Aspen has a full sister, BelAir who has also won USDF Regionals and won 6th place HOY with all scores in the mid-70's. Her other half siblings have all also been Champion or Reserve Champions in USDF & Regional Championships.
Clearly bred to excel in the show ring, Jasper MM has the breeding, conformation and temperament to take you to the highest levels in dressage. His price will increase with training.
