Video: https://vimeo.com/179604765. Javiero became a 2 y.o. this June 2016. A well-conformed, handsome young horse, he is a correct and powerful mover, well-suited for dressage. Javiero is a solid-minded youngster, uncomplicated to train and handle. Javiero loads and hauls in the trailer, clips, bathes, is well mannered to lead, and is good for the farrier. Recently he wore a bridle with a snaffle bit for the first time, and was very quiet without fuss. At the same time, he wore his first surcingle while taking his 2nd lesson on the longe line. In the linked video of August 2016, he hauled to a new location by himself and walked out of the trailer calmly, taking in the new sights without issue. Within the video is a short segment of Javiero on the longe line (his 3rd time) to show the walk. Javiero was a First Premium foal at his KWPN-NA foal inspection in 2014, and was called back for the Championship round in a very large foal class. The KWPN jury described him as a "powerful son of Negro" , a dressage type, and particularly nice and balanced in the canter. He comes from a well-known and predicated European dam line that has produced a great number of show jumping stallions for Holstein, as well as the foundation sires Ahorn and Joost for the KWPN, His imported Ster dam, Solana V.S., was herself a daughter of daughters; a direct descendant of Holstein foundation mare Diastolchen in the unbroken predicated dam line of mares known as the "Ulana Stamm" . Javiero's sire Negro needs no introduction, was himself successful in FEI dressage competition, and is well-known as the sire of multiple Olympic gold medal dressage horse, Valegro, ridden to world-wide, record-breaking fame by Charlotte Dujardin. Negro has been awarded the prestigious Keur status by the KWPN for his success as a sire. Javiero has had no injuries to date, and has a clean set of limited survey radiographs (hocks, feet, and stifles) on file.
