3 Diamonds Farm is proud to present for a client: Juno, registered name Juno Chin P! Juno is a 9 year old, 16.3hh, impeccably bred imported and registered KWPN - NA. He’s a beautifully built bay with a pretty white star. Bred by Prima Equestrian in Canada to be an incredible show jumper, Juno has a fantastic uphill shoulder that makes his canter and jump unbelievable! Juno’s sire is the great Chin Chin, who was an Olympic show jumping champion. And Juno’s dam is Beyond P, an elite mare with two additional Olympic horses in her lines. Namely, with her sire being Ahorn, who was short listed for the Barcelona Olympics in show jumping with Team Netherlands and her dam’s sire being Ferro, who competed in dressage during the Sydney Olympics, also for Team Netherlands. With this breeding, it’s no wonder where Juno gets his incredible talent on the flat and over fences!
Juno is a talented show jumper that has competed from west coast to east coast here in the United States. Easily doing the 1.10m jumpers, with experience in the 1.15m jumpers too. Mostly impressively, Juno won the open 1.10m jumpers in a massive class against 81 horses in California! Numerous other top placings in the 1.10m jumpers at countless shows across America too! Juno knows his job as a jumper and enjoys being a show horse in the jumper ring. He is a true winner, happy to do straight clear round jumpers or turn on his engine to tackle a speed round. And despite being so talented, he is quite rideable and dependable too. On top of that, his flatwork is stunning. Such balance and grace with three absolutely lovely gaits! He could easily switch to straight dressage and hold his own tomorrow.
In the barn, Juno is easy! Lovely ground manners. Trailers and ships perfectly! Easy at shows, just needing to settle into his environment. A horse you could hack bareback at a show on Sunday, after being there since Wednesday. Happy to stand for tacking, grooming, baths, clipping, and mane pulls. Perfect for the vet and farrier. Stands nicely at the mounting block and on the cross ties. Easy keeper and lovely in turnout (including out with a naughty pony mare that wasn’t nice to him). Juno can pony other horses. He does enjoy being in a program, but it doesn’t have to be intensive. When not in a regular program, a pro ride can benefit him from time to time, but it’s not needed when in consistent work. And he has an impressively quiet personality for such a talented jumper overall. For example, he has even happily swam across a river with his rider in nothing but a halter!
With all these wonderful things about Juno does come a bit of maintenance. He wears four regular shoes. He occasionally (once a year, if that) requires a series of Adequan IM to feel his best. Juno also has incredibly mild head shakers, which is fully controlled with MSM. Sometimes he has spring allergies (don’t we all?) and needs a bit of cough ease. He also had a sarcoid removed from under his front left armpit. And while he is quite quiet for a warmblood, he can have a little look here and there in a new environment. Sometimes it can be a bit of a spook or buck if he is feeling himself, but not in a nasty way, in a “I know I am an incredible jumper” and “I feel good” and "this is fun" way.
Juno’s ideal next rider would be a good riding kid, teen, or ammy with the desire to go up the levels in jumpers and maybe have fun on the flat too. A pro would also love this incredibly talented horse! He is happy to pack someone around the lower levels but also happy to turn it on and jump the bigger jumps too. That person should have a sense of humor and giggle when Juno has a frisky moment every once in a long while. He is an incredibly talented and amazing jumper that will really help his next rider achieve all their goals, but Juno isn’t perfect and he wants someone to love him despite being a bit quirky as noted above. This truly is an incredible opportunity for someone to have an amazing jumper at a reasonable price! Juno is located at a private farm in Leesburg, Virginia.
