Keepsake (Keeper) 2009 Oldenburg mare by Fidertanz out of Kindred Spirit II, a German imported Trakehner mare awarded Premium at her Oldenburg mare inspection. Kindred Spirit II's sire is Schampus/Karon. Schampus was a very successful FEI competitor. Keeper was presented to the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society in July 2012, receiving 7s and 8s at her inspection, with comment from her inspector, "A lovely mare." In July 2013 she was presented to the American Hanoverian Society and was awarded High Score Non-Hanoverian Mare at her inspection with a score of 7.66. The 2014 AHS Breeders' Guide/Stallion Directory/Mare Book, Keepsake was the 2013 Non-Hanoverian High Score Mare of the year. Her overall score of 7.66 tied her for third among all mares (Hanoverian and non-Hanoverian) inspected in 2013. Keeper has had three wonderful foals a filly by Rubignon, a colt by Sir Gregory and this year a colt by Sir Donnerhall II. She will be available when her colt is weaned in early September. Keeper was briefly backed as a three year old and could be put back in training or put back in foal with an option to purchase one of the frozen semen doses I have stored in my tank (Ampere, Benetton Dream, Danone I, Don Romantic, or Wolkentanz I). Keepsake is a wonderful mare who gets along with other mares and great mother to her foals. Keeper's colt will be ready to wean in early September.
