Super girl with reliable flying changes, 15.0

Kellan Hit (we call her Kee) is the real deal -- talent, a great work ethic, and soundness. She is sure to take her petite rider on to a Bronze Medal, Junior/Young Riders team, and beyond. At 5 ½ years she had a reliable, clean flying change both ways, and a clear understanding of half pass, shoulder-in and haunches in. Kee’s good work ethic and intelligence make it easy to teach her new things. Now, we’ll just be patient as she matures and develops the strength to match her intellectual understanding.

Very straightforward ride – will clock around with a beginner, or match the demands of a more advanced rider with enthusiasm. Very suitable for FEI Juniors. Happy to go forward but not hot. Has been schooled to develop a swinging back and lightness and softness to the aids. Also showed impressive form over fences when popped over the 18” cavaletti at a clinic – everybody oohed and aahed. My students lucky enough to have a ride on her love her positive attitude and willingness.

Won her first two First Level classes with a 66% and 68%. Judges remarks included “Fancy mover” and “Elegant pony. Beautiful movement this test.” Will go on to second and third level in 2016 if not sold.

Confident in new places. Will wait in the trailer by herself while her stablemates show. Hacks all the time, by herself or with others. Lives out 24/7 with a small herd of mares, but doesn’t mind staying in. Does great barefoot with superb Connemara feet. No vices. Air fern.

Kee’s sire is the black Hanoverian Somer Hit, who won the Markel USDF National 6-Year-Old Championship in 2012 and went on to score over 70% at Grand Prix when only 8 years old. (Clearly this bloodline is precocious!) Kee’s dam is a successful buckskin event pony with a young rider and comes from a sire line known for good temperaments and athleticism. You will not find a better combination of Connemara good sense with the gaits of the Hanoverian.

Only selling as I have three horses myself and my husband has zero….He is a Silver Medalist himself and hasn’t had a horse to compete for some time. Kee is a very, very good girl with beauty on the outside and the inside. Will only be sold to great home.

Video includes: canter half-pass and flying changes, lengthened canter; trot half-pass and lengthening, shoulder in, haunches in, rein back; free walk and working walk, half turn on the haunch.

And in case you are interested, her color is officially called “brown buckskin.”

Best way to contact me is by email. I am rarely available by phone during socially acceptable calling hours... on a horse or teaching!
