Striking not only in color, but also in movement, Kiddery Addicted To Love (Carwyn) is a top prospect for those looking for a performance pony. He displays three good gaits, packed with power, nice overstride and uphill tendency; he’s already showing capability for collection and extension in the trot. Carwyn is also very smart and quick to learn, indicating a good aptitude for learning dressage movements and tricky obstacles in the future. Very friendly and outgoing, combined with his bold attitude makes him a joy to handle and be around – he should settle into show life well (and already is with a little in-hand showing).

Of a solid, but not too heavy, build, Carwyn has good bone and depth of body. At 29 months, he stands just under 14.1 hands, looking to mature a little over 14.1 hands, and will very likely remain w/in pony height. As he heads into the fall of his 2-year-old year, he's starting to lunge in full tack, and has the cross-ties, wash-rack, clippers, loading & shipping down pretty well. He's shown in-hand twice late in the summer of 2105, taking the Supreme Gelding Championship at his last Welsh show.

Carwyn’s sire, Quillane Apollo is an impressive performance Cob, competing successfully in both Welsh shows and in open competition – everything from halter to pleasure driving, dressage to combined driving, nationally and internationally. All his foals exhibit great substance, good conformation and wonderful temperaments, and Carwyn is no exception!

Carwyn’s dam is, herself, a powerhouse – great substance, big, forward movement, with good push from behind. Descending from some well-known performance Cobs, including the legendary Kentchurch Chime, she competed successfully on the Welsh show circuit before settling down as a broodmare, with her first foal, Carwyn’s full brother, sold to Canada as a stallion prospect.

Carwyn seems to have inherited the best from both dam and sire and is quite an impressive youngster. He will definitely be the type that commands attention in the show ring and should go on to have quite a successful performance career. He’s got the talent, forward-thinking nature and good brains to go far with the right person~
