WINTER SALE!! Too many horses, and not enough good weather!!! If Kingston is sold within by the end of February to a long-term forever home, I will let him go for $2500. That is a HECK of a deal for a gorgeous thoroughbred with dressage training!! Contact me for details.
KB Farm is offering Kingston for sale. King is an 11 y/o, 16.3h, bay OTTB gelding. Our breeding business is starting to grow, and I have young horses (and rescue horses) waiting to be started under saddle this winter. As much as we adore King, we no longer have the riding time to devote to him that he deserves, and we're reluctantly trying to find him a new home with an owner who can develop his potential as a dressage horse.
King has natural self carriage and desire to work. He's the rare horse who is truly happy to be in the arena! King trailers easily, stands quietly in crossties (he will fall asleep if you point a fan at him!), clips, bathes, lunges (both free and with a lunge line), and stands dutifully for the farrier. No cribbing or other vices. Easy keeper who lives outside 24/7 and pastures easily with mares or geldings. He is also an amazing foal/yearling babysitter.
Goes quietly in a rubber bit, even in wide-open spaces. Not suited to a beginner because he is forward-thinking and his gaits can be quite large at times, but he is definitely suitable for an ambitious intermediate level rider. His training over the last 4 years has been almost entirely dressage.
To Dressage/Pleasure home ONLY!
Mild maintenance required (annual hock injections) and is reflected in reasonable price.
