Kumari is coming eight in September of this year. She is sired by the Friesian stallion Hessel and her dam is half thoroughbred half Andalusian. She registered with the Friesian Heritage Horse Association. She is just shy of 17 hands. Kumari has been in professional dressage training for two years. She is a strong training level, schooling 1st level along with shoulder in and haunches in. She has been ridden on trails and hauled to different barns for changes of scenery, she has also been shown. She is very sweet and mild mannered with impeccable ground manners. Kumari is not spooky or over reactive, she has been exposed to many life experiences being raised on a farm and living at a handful of barns. I myself purchased her as a weanling, raised her to three years old, started her under saddle and sold her to her current owner. She has been with me her whole life. She lives outside happily with a round bale of hay or comes into the barn with no issues. She is fine riding independently around the farm or in the arena. She hops into any trailer easily, ties, clips, crosses water and is easily kept with a ration balancer and hay. This mare has had several riders from a teenage girl just riding for a few months to some older adult amateurs. Her trot is comfortable, not too lofty and she has really found her rhythm in the canter. Kumari is a great conserver of energy, can easily become dull and really benefits from variety in her rides, breaks and rewards in her training. She is eager to please and takes care of her rider. Kumari does have mild flare-ups diagnosed as uveitis. She wears a fly mask 24/7, and is treated with eye ointment given a dose of banamine given she is having a flare-up. Caught with just the mildest sign and treated early, a flare-up will lasts a day or two. She will need someone who is attentive to this.
