La De Da is a beautiful, personable 17.2 h RPSI mare in foal to Cunningham for a late May-early June 2016 foal. La De Da was a successful Conformation Hunter who accrued many blue ribbons and over 1600 points on her USEF record. She is a proven broodmare—an easy breeder and excellent mother. La De Da has produced a number of gorgeous, talented offspring at Silver Creek Farm and at Maefield Farm. Her Maefield Farm offspring are:
2010 Augustus M (Gus)—a handsome bay gelding by Apiro, sold to N. Salem, NY
2011 Arriba (Reba) – a beautiful chestnut mare by Aprio, retained by Maefield Farm
2013-Peterpferd (Pete) – a striking pinto gelding by Palladio, sold to Springfield, MO
La De Da’s babies have all been big, attractive, and simple to train/ride. They have good jumps and excellent hunter movement. The 2016 foal should be another in the fabulous La De Da lineup.
Cunningham (Cassini I/Contender), sire of La De Da’s in utero foal, is a 17.1 h Holsteiner stallion who has had great success in the hunter ring. Details of his performance are available on his website at http://www.cunningham-stallion.com . Here is an excerpt from the site: “Cunningham, a champion son of Cassini I, is a lovely “modern type” stallion with superior character. He was approved by the Holsteiner Verband in Germany in 2000 and imported to the USA shortly after being approved. Cunningham is a pre-potent stallion that stamps his get with a beautiful head, topline, and his easy going, hard working attitude. In his 5 years of showing in the rated Hunter Divisions, he has won 86 Championships, multiple Year End Awards, Nationally - USEF, USHJA, Silver Stirrup, AHHA, BWP, Zone 10, locally PCHA.” Cunningham has produced many fine offspring that have inherited his great topline and modern, athletic build.
The in-utero 2016 foal will be eligible for registration with RPSI. White markings seem likely, as La De Da tends to produce more bling than she herself has. And check the photos of Cunningham as a foal on his website—he appears to be very dark bay with 3 stockings as a youngster. The foal La De Da is carrying has a 50% chance of turning grey like its sire.
