Landcruz (Cruz) is a beautiful stud colt by Landkonig, born on May 18th 2009. At the regional Oldenburg inspections in 2009, he was awarded Premium foal, qualified as a stallion prospect, and also received the top-ranked Foal of Distinction award (the only colt at the inspection to win this award).
Landcruz has a willing temperament and a sharp mind, and learns quickly. He is very calm, sweet and controllable for a stud colt. Legs are straight and sound. Gaits are big and floaty. He is now in regular ground training and wearing a bridle and saddle.
He is by the fabulous Hannoverian sire Landkonig, and out of the German-imported Main Mare Book Oldenburg Whenever(Calypso II, Weltmeister lineage). Both parents have beautiful movement and confirmation. Landkonig is a highly desired sire of world class jumpers (including the Olympic-qualified Lantinus). The dam also has beautiful jumping form and movement. Both sire and dam are 16.3hh. Landcruz measures 16.1hh as of April/2011. Currently, he is being kept at a barn in Afton, Oklahoma.
