Lantus Z, aka Linus, is a kind, big boned 17.1h fun, easy, talented jumper suitable for any rider. In 2010 he twice placed 4th in $2500 level 4/5 mini prix, and got good ribbons in the Level 4's in good company at HITS Ocala, as well as showing in the AA Jumpers with his owner, and children's jumpers and equitation with a junior rider. In 2011 he had limited showing at WEF before being leased by an Adult rider who chose not to show this year. He is now back from his lease and is fit and ready to be leased or purchased by a loving show home.

He has a wonderful temperament and disposition, having been ridden by everything from professionals down to rank beginners learning walk/trot, and even taking a beginner rider to his first show, ribboning in 2' beginner rider classes. In the same weekend he placed 4th in a $2500 3'9" Jumper Classic and was also Champion in the 2' Beginner Rider Division, proving his versatility and kindness. He has been described as a giant Golden Retriever! He is friendly, sweet, and always happy to go to work.

Linus has no vices, is sound, clean legs, will vet, clean xrays courtesy of seller (Fall 2010 "hocks look like he's never jumped a fence" per vet) and has plenty of jump to move up further. Has been schooled to 5' at home with his amateur rider. Lovely horse for the junior or amateur looking for a fun easy partner to enjoy any level with. He is light on his feet and athletic for such a big horse, well broke on the flat, and can make tight turns and jump from any angle or distance. NO stop, will try hard over and over even from poor distances. Always happy to work, just an all around good boy. He is easy going without being lazy on the flat, and takes you to the jumps without being hot.

He would also be suitable for the rider looking for a dual purpose mount to show in the jumpers and Equitation divisions. He has excellent flat work, frames up well, knows lateral movements and counter canter, as well as flying changes. He has even evented up to Training level.
