"Elena" is a March 2023 Oldenburg filly that truly checks all the boxes for the ideal hunter prospect. She is kind, quiet, and brave with correct conformation, hack winning movement, and bred to jump the big jumps.
Elena is by WT Leapfrog, the 2017 jumping winner of the North American Stallion Sport Test with the highest score to date of 9.28. He competed to Grand Prix before retiring from competition. Leapfrog is by LioCalyon (E) who has sired four approved sons, WT Leapfrog (Oldenburg), Peterbilt (BWP elite stallion), WT Lakota (Holsteiner Verband), and WT Lillix. LioCalyon has also sired approved mares: Dragonfly WT was the best American Bred Mare for the AHHA in 2014 and Exclusive WT won the same award in 2015. LioCalyon (Liostro) produced 4 advanced level dressage horses and 18+ offspring who jumped 1.40 m or higher. LioCalyon has also produced top mares, Dragonfly WT (51 bonits) and Exclusive WT (52 bonits) both out of Nelke I (Coriander) were awarded the AHHA Best American bred mare for 2014 and 2015, respectively. Leapfrog’s mother line has been owned by Paul Schockemohle since the 70s. His half brothers Sadesso (Sandro Boy) competed to 1.40m and Chaccland (Chacco Blue) competed to 1.60m. Also from his mother line come the 1.50m jumpers Lajo Secondo (Acobat I), Cha Cha Cha 7 (Chacco Blue), and Coupe du Rouet (Coup de Coeur).

Elena is out of our young homebred Premium Oldenburg mare Bandari NHF. Bandari is the last daughter out of one of our most proven mares- Romancing Rio (by Rio Grande). This line has produced several competitive, winning hunters for our program. They are all quiet, born broke types with exceptional hunter movement and excellent jumping ability. Bandari NHF is by Banderas, son of the legendary Balou Du Rouet. Balou du Rouet is highly sought after as a breeding stallion, he is very known for producing type, elastic movers, and his oldest offspring are showing his prepotency for first class jumping ability. Banderas comes from a very strong dam line through dam Grisette he combines some of the best bloodlines available. His dam sire is the legendary Grannus, one Germany's greatest sires with over five million DM in earnings, he is also the sire a multiple international and Olympic jumpers, including Top Gun La Silla(Jan Tops), Grand Plaisir(Ludger Beerbaum), Grannusch(John Witaker), Burmah Grand Slam (Nick Skelton) and Imperial to name a few. Grannus is also the sire of over 60 approved stallions. Great Grand sire is the Elite international stallion Beach Boy. He has sired 8 graded sons who are already making a name for themselves and his own progeny includes the 1991 Oldenburg performance test champion Brandenburger, the international showjumper Beach Game and the international eventers Beach Star and Feldschwalbe.

Elena was awarded Premium and was Top Foal at her Oldenburg inspection. She will be lifetime registered with both USEF and USHJA. She is expected to mature 16.2+.
