Welcome Luminato! Chestnut colt born April 26, 2018.

Update: as Luminato is enjoying his summer at pasture, we are continually impressed by his sensible, intelligent nature. He is captivating with his easy, ground-covering movement and beautiful looks.

Luminato is a tall, modern, correct, inquisitive, photogenic colt. He is proving to be smart and has been easy to work with. Luminato demonstrates the excellent movement that he inherited from his sire, Le Primeur. Le Primeur was awarded top scores for both jumping and dressage at his stallion testing. He has produced a number of successful 1.25-1.60m athletes. He stamps his offspring with wonderful temperaments and lovely canters. Luminato is no exception to this. Le Primeur's pedigree contains a number of top Warmbloods including: Ladykiller xx, Cor de la Bryere, and Gotthard.

Luminato's dam, Cartaya BSR, is just starting her sport career as a five year old but has demonstrated a strong work ethic, trainability, and intelligence. Cartaya's sireline has produced a number of successful sport horses that competed at 1.35-1.60m. Cartaya's pedigree includes: Carthago Z, Julio Mariner xx, and Landgraf I. Cartaya's dam competed at preliminary-level eventing as well as 1.15m/3'9" hunter/jumper/equitation. She was expected to be a NAYR event horse but was injured in a pasture accident at only 8 years old. Cartaya's full brother has been successful in the jumper ring, competing at 1.10m at venues such as Spruce Meadows, Thunderbird Show Park, and Rocky Mountain Show Jumpers. He has demonstrated his brave nature by schooling low-level cross country fences without issue, as well as crossing into the eq and hunter rings. We expect Cartaya to have many of these same wonderful amateur-friendly attributes.

Given the number of top sport horses throughout his pedigree and the high percentage of Thoroughbred blood, Luminato is a top eventing or show jumping prospect for the serious amateur.
