Leda is by Lupicor a Grand Prix jumper stallion out of Warmest Regards an Oldenburg mare who produced two other premium foals. Leda has a lot of presence, is sweet, easy to be around, and works very hard to please. Leda is bred to jump but her training has been primarily in dressage. She has been schooled up to 3 and has competed at a few local shows in the 3 foot jumpers where she placed in every class. She is easy to jump, maintains rhythym, adjustable and careful. She is very fun to ride.
Leda is by Lupicor who is bred out of the 'keur' awarded Jourdette S, a daughter of the Westphalian show jumping horse progenitor Pilot. Jourdette S made a worthy career for herself in show jumping, competing at national and international levels. The mare has an excellent technique and is very careful. The KWPN approved stallion Pitcher S, who jumps the national competitions, is a full brother to Jourdette S. The same dam line also produced the international show jumper El Padrino (s. Jasper) and belongs to one of the best breeding lines in The Netherlands.
Lupicor, in the top 1% of the German Breeding Indexes belongs to the best stallions in Europe and is sire to the 2006 KWPN stallion champion L’Esprit (Lupicor x Landgraf I). At the 2008 KWPN stallion approval Lupicor displayed once again a remarkable group of young stallions with great movements and superb jumping abilities. Lupicor's first offspring are already successful at various international show jumping levels. Some examples are; Lady Luna (Massimo Grossato), Levito (Lars Nieberg), Lara Joy (Geoff Luckett) and Lenardo (Gerd Könemann).
Leda's dam, Warmest Regards, produced two prior foals, both champions of their keurings. She was a fabulous adult amatuer horse, with local championships up to third level dressage and 3'6 jumpers. She is out of the lines of Winchester, a stallion riden in Canada by Ian Miller, and out of Winter Sky by imported stallion Waldkoenig by the famous celle stallion
Wenzel.
