Legato is a gelding by L. King Arthur (Lavall I/Calvados II) out of Tiny Dancer, a Cacique/Alcatraz/Fernando mare. L. King Arthur was a successful jumper stallion with great quality of movement. Tiny Dancer showed successfully as a young horse in dressage and is currently showing successfully in the hunter ring in the Pre-Green and Adult Amateur hunters, and has qualified for the Capital Challenge in Maryland in the Adult Amateur division. His dam is pictured in the show ring in the attached photos. Legato's older half-brother is showing successfully in the dressage ring and even as a 4-year-old is totally bombproof!

Legato is elegant, well-balanced, and light on his feet. Legato will be a very versatile athlete who shows great potential for the hunter ring and with his elegant good looks he will be a real head-turner! Expected to mature around 16.2.

Legato had 30 days of training in June 2012 to be saddle broke and lightly backed before being turned back out for another year. He was incredibly easy to break and willingly accepted a rider with a very relaxed attitude. Legato also free-jumped for the first time during his 30 days of training, and he had an incredibly calm, willing, and easy attitude toward jumping. He shows great promise to follow his dam to success in the hunter rings.
