3 year old, 16.2 h German Oldenburg (GOV) gelding by Lissaro (Lissabon-Matcho AA) out of Premium Mare Ceremonie (Fuerstenball/Epikur). Leo has ony been under saddle for a short while, but he is uncomplicated, and easy to ride and train. He shows a workmanlike attitude under saddle with a superior rideability and three good gaits. He is sweet to handle and takes everything in his stride. He can be your ticket to success in the show ring.
Leo's sire, Lissaro was licensed at the 2007 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing as a Premium stallion. He was also licensed by Rhineland and Westphalia. Lissaro did his 30-day performance test in 2008 in Munster-Handorf and scored 9.52 for dressage and 8.79 for show jumping as the high scorer of the testing. His scores
underlined his versatility for dressage and jumping. In 2008, as a three year old he was a finalist in the Hanoverian State Championships for the 3 year old Stallions in Verden and won. This was just the start of an incredible streak of championship wins which included the 2008 Bundeschampionate title for the 3 year old Stallions, the 2009 Bundeschampionate title for the 4 year old Stallions, 2010 Bundeschampionate title for the 5 year old Dressage Horses, and Silver Medalist at the World Champions for the 5 year old Dressage Horses! Aside from this, he also won various jumper classes for young horses at the A
and L levels in 2008 and 2009. For the 2012 breeding season the stallion was leased to the Hanoverian State Stud in Celle, where head rider Wolfhard Witte trained the horse up to S-level. The pair mainly competed at local shows between 2012 till 2016. An international career seemed off the table for the stallion. He topped the 2015 German FN dressage sire index with 173 points!
He was sold as a young rider horse in 2011, and was only lightly shown up to Prix St. George. He was retired from sport in 2021.
He has sired five licensed sons (Lilliano, Labbadio, Lassaro, Louis d'Or Gold, and 22 state premium daughters.
Leo's dam sire, Fuerstenball was the stunning champion stallion at the Oldenburger licensing in 2008, who sold for the record price of EUR 110,000 as
a foal at auction. He is known for his willingness, strong nerves and relaxed temperament with uphill and swinging movements. He won his Stallion
Performance Test with a total of 154.98 (16 times 9.0 or better, 10 for rideability). He won the German Championship for 5 year old riding horses in 2011 with a 9.5 for trot and general impression, 10 walk, and 9.0 canter and willingness- final score 9.4. Fuerstenball's sire, Fürst Heinrich, was the impressive 2003 winner of the World Championship of Five Year Old Dressage Horses, and he has produced many first-rate horses including 53 sons, and 64 advanced level horses. Fuerst Heinrich also presented an exceptional mare named Woodlanders Farouche, the 2011' World Champion for Young Dressage Horses. He has an FN breeding index with a score of 151. Fuerstenball's maternal grandsire, Donnerhall, is without a doubt a sire who himself and his offspring are successful in dressage.
