Levitate NF, lovingly known as Leif in the barn, is a stunning 2020 bright bay gelding by the famous Lordanos out of an Escudo I x Rio Grande career broodmare. Leif has an easygoing attitude with a ton of try. He was very easy to start and is consistently working walk/trot/canter under saddle, displaying a strong work ethic, no 'funny business' and a deep affection for his handlers and riders.

Leif 'goes with the flow' and always tries to understand what you are asking him to do and willingly does his best. He has been the barn sweetheart since day one, and is smart, willing and very affectionate. Leif lives in his 'brodeo' herd and is the Walmart greeter of the field - always engages in a positive way with newcomers to his herd and is the first to run to the gate to come in for work.

Leif is good for the vet and farrier, stands in cross ties and loves being groomed. Work will continue on trailering and bathing over the next few months. Leif shows very supple movement, good jump technique and his very smooth canter and beautiful bascule indicates a potential for a three ring career - with time we believe he could be an exceptional equitation mount. His movement would not be out of place in the dressage ring either. His trot is floaty and his canter is ridiculously smooth, you just sit there! He has nice square knees and an amazing hind end. Took to his first time free jumping like a fish to water and was more than happy to return to the chute.

Sire Lordanos really needs no introduction, but here we go: he is Stal Sosath's foundation sire. His individual success combined with fantastic progeny led to his high demand as a sire. In 2013, Lordanos was named the top jumper sire by USEF. Lordanos' career began by winning nearly 40 competitions for young jumpers. He was successful in 1.40m and 1.50m classes for an incredible eleven years. He has produced an phenomenal number of successful progeny all over the world (check his offspring listing on HorseTelex) and is considered one of the very best stallions in history. Dam Enya is a career broodmare (Escudo I x Rio Grande) who consistently produces colts (always colts!) that show incredible jump technique and an almost overwhelming desire to get to the other side of the fence. She is our most reliable producer of great jumpers with beautiful movement.

UPDATE: Leif has been working regularly under saddle showing a great willingness to learn. He is starting to get more consistent contact and is keen to work. Has started over small jumps with a great attitude and fantastic technique. We can't say enough good about this boy, we reluctantly are offering him for sale as we believe he is destined to be a superstar.
