Lieutenant (Landkonig x Voltaire x Quidam de Revel x Galoubet) is a 2009 Hanoverian colt. Landkonig needs minimal introduction being the sire of Olympic horse Lantinus, and numerous other Grand Prix competitors in Europe. His dam, Nyx, by Voltaire, is a 2001 Selle Francais mare that competed successfully in the young jumpers before becoming a broodmare due to her valuable bloodlines. Nyx's dam, Quidamselle by Quidam de Revel, competed internationally. Nyx's granddam, Genevieve by Galoubet, also competed internationally, including in the 2000 Sydney Olympics and Pan Am Games. Genevieve's dam, Windstille, is also the sire of Oldenburg Five Star Approved stallion Frohwind. Lieutenant is very athletic, has a super canter, and is already jumping everything in sight.
