This big moving gelding is full of personality. He is by the great dressage stallion Sandro Hit, out of an Ijssermeer daughter. Although he is full of dressage potential, this guy likes to jump; so if eventing is your cup of tea, don't discount him!
Tsunami has been raised in a pasture setting on rolling hills with other horses. He has been barefoot all his life and is good for the farrier. He has a bold temperament and is very intelligent. He is super trainable, matching best with someone who will continue to find challenges for him.
Currently standing just under 15.3, this sturdy guy should mature between 16-16.1.
Sandro Hit: Since 2012, Sandro Hit has been ranked amongst the top ten best dressage sires in the world. Since 2017, he is in second place of the WBFSH ranking of the most successful dressage stallions. He has produced 190 licensed stallions in Germany alone, which is far more than any other sire has ever been able to produce. The descendants of Sandro Hit have long since conquered the biggest championship stages around the globe. Five of them competed at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio/BRA, including Showtime FRH/Dorothee Schneider, who became team gold medallist and came sixth in the freestyle, and Santano II/Christopher Burton/AUS, eventing team bronze medallist. In 2018, Salvino/Adrienne Lyle was part of the USA dressage silver team at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon/USA. Sir Donnerhall II OLD/Morgan Barbarcon/ESP were placed in the World Cup final in Paris/FRA. Selten HW/Andres Dahl was part of the Danish team that was placed at the Olympic Games in 2016 and at the World Equestrian Games in 2018.
His dam Tatiana, is a dutch mare by Ijsselmeer Ikopono, another dressage stand out. Ijsselmeer has proved himself to be a consistent, lifelong champion in the show ring. Undefeated at sport horse breed shows as a yearling and 2 year old, he was also the #1 yearling and 2 year old at the North American KWPN Keurings. In 1995 he garnered an enviable "A" rating at his stallion licensing, receiving 7.5 - 8.5 for gaits, 8 for jumping, 9 for dressage ability, and 9.5 for character. The jury's confidence in his dressage talent has been confirmed by his outstanding performance record from First Level through Grand Prix: he has been a USDF and/or California Dressage Society champion or reserve champion at every level. His daughter, Maile, 2008 FEI Paralympics Individual Gold and Silver winner in Hong Kong (for CAN), and his son, Oahu, 2008 Grand Prix Adult Amateur Champion - KWPN All Breeds, and third USDF nationally, show just how suitable his offspring are for the amateur, as well as for the FEI levels.
I am looking for someone who wants to have FUN with their horse. Tsunami will want to be super engaged in everything that you do. This horse will not be a good match for someone who just wants a "robot" to ride. If you want a fancy mover with a ton of pizzazz, then this is your guy!
Located in Plymouth, CA near Sacramento.
