Magnum is a 2004 Trakehner/ TB cross gelding that got a late start. Breeder/owner didn't have much time for him so he set in a field and was only trail ridden for his first 8 years. His owner later took him to a dressage trainer to be restarted and sold. We purchased him after 6 weeks of basic dressage work for a client that was an experienced cutting horse rider wanting to learn dressage. He was super patient and kind in her learning process. During that time he was also in part time training with a professional to advance his own skill set. He had not been off property to any shows until the 2014 season. He went to 2 schooling shows and 2 recognized shows with an AA rider aboard and competed at training and first level. He was very good for his first season. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body and does try really hard. He loves attention and being told he is good. Although a big horse he does have amateur friendly gaits. We have not had any soundness issues and he passed his vetting 2 years ago with clean xrays. Update!!! Magnum was introduced to jumping. Trainer says he is a great equitation prospect! Going to continue cross training and learning lead changes.
A good home is a must! Only selling because owner has too many horses. If you are looking for a fun guy to work with, he's the one! UPDATE New video Just added his first time at a h/j show!
