Having attained internationally recognized qualifications awarded by the British Horse Society for horse care, management, riding and teaching, Ms. Minter Dykhouse has extensive experience as a professional horsewoman. While specializing predominantly in dressage and stadium jumping, Katie has over 20 years of competitive experience in dressage, stadium jumping and eventing. Now based out of her own facility, Priestfield West, she continues to teach, train and develop a selection of young horses. The primary focus of her training program is the development of the horse and rider, with specific emphasis on gymnastic exercises to develop horse and riders’ balance, coordination and strength, improved overall fitness, performance and mental health! Katie has been an instructor for The Dressage Foundation's 'Gifted' Scholarship program, has been the principle instructor at a USDF Adult dressage camp and a demonstration rider for the USDF 'L' judges training program. She continues to train with her mentor in England as she prepares for further examinations with the British Horse Society.
