Mercedes is a sweet 15.3 hand 8 yr old Lusitano/Dutch Warmblood mare. Mercedes has been owned and ridden by an adult amateur for the past few years and is now looking to continue her way into the dressage ring with her new owner. She has been ridden under the guidance of a trainer for the past two years with full training in the last few months. Currently schooling 1st and 2nd level movements and showing promise in ability to move up the levels, she is presently working on leg yielding, shoulder-in, travers, renvers, 10 meter circles, simple changes of lead, and walk-canter transitions. Always a pleasure to ride without mare-ish tendencies, she is a very willing horse and is sure to be noticed in the show ring. Mercedes would be ideal for an ambitious young rider or experienced adult with a correct dressage background in order to help her reach her full potential. She is a straight forward horse to ride, occasionally needing to draw confidence from her rider, not making her well suited for an adult amateur. Mercedes enjoys regular hacks out alone and with others. Well-mannered for the vet and farrier, she clips, cross ties, baths, and trailers very well. Clean x-rays as a five-year-old with no soundness issue to date. This is an exceptionally lovely horse who is looking to shine with her new owner.
